Working with our two VPs (Head of Fleet Operations and Head of Fleet Technology) offers a unique opportunity to be part of two management teams aiming at positioning Maersk as the leader in ship design and ship operations.

The level of accountability goes beyond the execution of administrative tasks and projects.

We expect you are effective in handling the administrative tasks supporting with day-to-day business allowing you to support our management teams on strategy definition, execution and driving own projects.

You will get to use your outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills, engaging with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels of the organization, and build a robust global network.

On top of joining the two teams, the Executive Assistant will be part of a large EA community at Maersk, a community with personal development, training and learning sessions in focus.

Key responsibilities


The main objective of the role is to provide second-to-non administrative assistance, actively contribute to the management team’s success and be the go-to sparring partner for the VP’s.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Together with our two VP’s define department priorities , handle internal communication and coordinate internal change projects

• Proactively handle the calendar management for both VP’s. Juggling day-to-day changing calendar with discretion, while handling urgent enquiries and planning ahead to make the pieces fit

• Plan off-sites and social gatherings, take care of the travel management (including visa and bookings) for the two VPs

• Support onboarding and offboarding for team members and become the go-to expert for our teams for various kinds of questions

• Build your internal network within our EA community to ensure you’re always up-to-date related to internal policies and procedures

We believe you’ll thrive in this role if you:

• Have a high degree of self-motivation and proactive drive

• Are curious and eagerly want to learn and contribute to setting our future direction

• A structured way of working and the ability to juggle multiple balls in the air without losing the overview

• Have high energy and is great at building rapport with other stakeholders

• Prior experience from similar roles in a large and/or international organization is an advantage, but you can also be less experienced with a business school background wanting to test your talent in a vibrant environment.

• You probably hold a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education. That being said, we believe the right mindset and attitude trumps a specific educational background or experience

• Have impeccable English and Danish language skills and you are tech savvy with MS Office.
