The position

The primary role of this position is to be responsible for timely planning and proper execution of projects. You will also set direction, develop skills set, coach, and guide the global affiliate project managers to fulfil project goals and apply corrective actions when necessary.

You will develop and implement change management plans – incl. branding communication, roadmap, leadership development and overall training plan, and any other areas as required.

Besides you will align and facilitate change management with partners across disciplines and areas, including e.g., R&ED, Development, Commercial, P&O, Global IT and Finance to also ensure that messages conform to company guidelines.

Your key areas of responsibility will be:

  • Partner to develop the DSI culture, diversity and inclusion practises, organizational and overall leadership development
  • Defines, scopes, and embeds change management strategies to influence the internal culture focusing on amplifying and accelerating overall scientific innovation in early research
  • Develop and implement change management plans – incl. branding communication, roadmap, leadership development and overall training plan, and any other areas as required
  • Develop and manages strategic workforce planning
  • Manages competency build within the group
  • Can identify and address risks for change management
  • Aligns and facilitate change management with partners across disciplines and areas, incl. e.g., R&ED, Development, Commercial, Global IT, P&O, and Finance to also ensure that messages conform to company guidelines
  • Partners with external agencies and internal groups
  • Develop meaningful, trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholder to drive innovation, anticipating changes in the customer behaviour landscape, and adjusting the strategic direction accordingly
  • Tracks, reports, and derives insights into the change cycle to motivate and assure success of changes implemented

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • A Master’s degree or equivalent (marketing, organizational development, communications, business, or similar)
  • Min. 5 years of change management experience
  • Solid experience with change management in pharma, life science or biotech preferred (will consider other industries)
  • Prosci® ADKAR experience and Prosci® certification is strongly preferred.
  • Some understanding of the R&D value chain or digital science and innovation disciplines (e.g., automation, data infrastructure, data management, data science, external activities, and scientific intelligence) is an advantage
  • Ability to continuously interact with multiple stakeholders across levels and disciplines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in spoken and written English

About the department

Data Science and Innovation (DSI) was established in March 2022 to drive digitalisation across the value chain in R&ED from early discovery to pre-clinical development. DSI is supporting the digital transformation journey across all our therapy areas in R&ED. The DSI vision is to amplify and accelerate our science through innovative use of data, digital tools, and computational approaches. Our current focus in DSI is to generate and showcase business value – based on addressing specific scientific questions and processes in a “digital-first” approach – while building the digital foundation to deliver our ambitions by scaling data, digital tools, and computational approaches across R&ED.

We work to build an attractive community of data, digital and scientific professionals and foster a strong DIGITAL CULTURE for our multidisciplinary delivery teams that collaborate across R&ED and IT areas. We engage in external collaborations to pursue and build digital science and innovation capabilities.

This Digital Strategy & Change Management (DSCM) area is driving our digital transformation based on robust strategic thinking, portfolio management of digital projects, utilization of a project and change management to ensure that we can amplify and accelerate scientific innovation.

The DSCM team will drive, and project manage the development and implementation of strategies. We will also support portfolio management across DSI and within the respective digital science and innovation disciplines (e.g., automation, data infrastructure, data management, data science, external activities, and scientific intelligence). We are a tight-knit unit characterised by an informal atmosphere, with emphasis on a fun, collaborative, and engaging working environment. While we are deeply dedicated to our tasks with high customer engagement, we maintain focus on preserving a healthy work-life balance.
