The GLP-1, CV & Outcomes Medical & Science VP area has been growing significantly over the last couple of years. We are looking for an experienced administrative employee to support the VP of GLP-1, CV & Outcomes, Medical and Science. Join us and you’ll be working with highly engaged colleagues, every one of whom strives passionately to create better treatments and care for patients.

About the department

The GLP-1, CV & Outcomes Medical & Science VP area is anchored in Global Development under our R&D organisation and located in Søborg. The area is in a transition phase where new therapy areas are being explored. We are medical responsible for an exciting pipeline of clinical development programmes targeting patients with type 2 diabetes, diabetic co-morbidities, cardiovascular diseases and most recently cognitive impairment. This means that we give medical and scientific support to health authority interactions and the planning and execution of clinical trials. Our projects range from early to late phase with lots of activities going on, so we are a busy group of people in need of more administrative support. We collaborate closely with many other skill areas, each contributing with their high level of expertise. Currently, we are a team of 30 medical doctors (including three Senior Directors and two International Medical VP’s) and two Management Assistants.

The job

As Personal Assistant to the VP, you are offered a challenging and exciting position in a dynamic environment. Your main area of responsibility will be administrative support to the VP of Medical & Science, calendar administration, meeting and event planning and other ad hoc tasks. A key task is to assist the VP in coordinating and driving the Medical & Science mgmt. meetings including keeping the action list and also the VP area meetings. The job includes LoB budget planning and follow up, HR and quality management, GD CAPSYS administration and some support to the Medical & Science Teams (MST) meetings. On top, you will be involved in the coordination and execution of scientific advisory board and global expert panel (GEP) meetings incl. contracting and payments to HCPs and act as the CVP area Business Ethics Compliance Coordinator (BECC).

Qualifications

We are looking for an employee preferably with an administrative education and solid (minimum 3 years) experience from a similar position. You are outgoing, proactive and open-minded and a dedicated team player with the ability and wish to take on responsibilities in support of the VP and to collaborate closely with the other assistants in the area. You are looking for ways to improve our processes and ways of working, able to work independently, have a well-structured approach to tasks and capable of maintaining overview when under pressure. In addition, you thrive in a global environment of continuous development, and focus on high quality and results.

You demonstrate extensive business understanding and master professional communication skills. You have highly developed budget management skills and can take the lead on various business processes within the Medical & Science department. It is an advantage if you have some level of knowledge of medical terminology and profound IT experience is a prerequisite. Finally, you must have excellent command of written and spoken English.
