As a Director and Head of Process Innovation you will be responsible for the team driving, facilitating, and developing new and simplified processes across Data Science and make sure it fits into the Development value chain to ensure that processes are simplified, future proof and ready for digitalisation. This should be done with the end user in mind and will be a key activity to unlock our business aspirations. This includes leading a team of strong individual with domain and process understanding and with a desire to drive process innovation using technology to foster the right insights and drive the process change. This will enable more quality by design, efficiencies and faster cycle time by driving standardised, harmonised, and reliable business processes, that consider end-to-end process steps optimise our value chain ultimately enabling new medicines to patients faster. As our head of Process Innovation, you will set clear direction for the Process Innovation in Data Science, and you will head up a team responsible for the functional ownership of our process innovation. You are responsible for vision, roadmap, and for building and prioritising the overall direction of process innovation across Data Science and to ensure execution in close collaboration with the business areas and the users. Your main responsibilities will include: Be a strong lead for the Process Innovation in Data Science Identify and shape the strategic focus and roadmap for the Process Innovation Support discovery processes across Data Science, pushing for new ways of running clinical trials and developing end to end solutions Aligning with stakeholders across business areas, finance, and IT, to ensure end-to-end thinking that optimises the Novo Nordisk value chain enabling high quality inputs and new insights Build a culture within the team, characterised by curiosity, passion, openness, and psychological safety You will be part of the area Digital & Process transformation responsible for driving new digitalisation and process improvements to spearhead the business transformation ultimately enabling and efficient insight driven Data Science. To be a competitive candidate, you should have: A BSc or MSc degree within science, engineering and/or business Experience and proven track record as a leader for a team and in process innovation, which could include but not limited to Lea, Six Sigma and other relevant tools A strong understanding of product innovation and newest tools available to drive an insight-based process innovation Proven track record with driving changes in a cross-functional, multi-cultural and cross-geographical environment Ability to think ahead and set strategic direction and can turn strategic priorities into tangible direction and progress Experience with clinical data and analytics is an advantage, but not a requirement As a person, you inspire passion, and encourage a feeling of ownership in people you work with and you set clear direction, prioritise, and communicate a compelling purpose and vision with passion and urgency on all levels of the organisation.

Data Science is an area within Development, responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide, from early development phases to product introduction and life cycle management. In Data Science our focus is to deliver data and data insights through advanced analytics to support new drug submission. We provide insights to fact-based decisions on new drugs and indications for Novo Nordisk product portfolio, which make a difference for the patients. In Digital & process transformation, we are responsible for the digitalisation & process innovation across the Data Science organisation. We support the Data Science organisation in setting the scene, the goals and follow-up on deliverables. This leads the planning and designing of the business transformation, and we drive and oversee implementation.
