Vestas Power Solutions (VPS) is where new product ideas or technologies are matured, developed, tested and improved. To put it in short, VPS is the cornerstone of Vestas and we are shaping the future of modern energy.
Operational Readiness is a department within Vestas Power Solutions and we are looking for a project manager that will be overall responsible for the availability performance of new and existing products. Further, you will be an active part of the new turbine introductions. All in all, you ensure our products stay best in class from day one.

As Project Manager of Operational Readiness, you will be responsible for product availability performance and follow up, together with controlling and maintaining the associated budget.

Responsibilities
As Project Manager of Operational Readiness, you will be responsible for product availability performance and follow up, together with controlling and maintaining the associated budget.
- Initiate, prioritise and coordinate corrective actions for changes in turbine design, documentation, and software aimed at addressing faults and improving turbine performance
- Ensure that new project deliveries relevant to Product Performance are in alignment with the agreed deadline
- Establish and maintain close working relationships with business units and within VPS
- Provide support regarding issues affecting installation, commissioning, and operation of new turbines
- Handle technical projects of different level of complexity in virtually all VPS areas
- Interact with the new turbine sites and other important stakeholders, to ensure that all feedback about turbine design, documentation, tools, spare parts, transport, construction and service procedures is collected and actioned on
- Work closely with Sales business units, Construction, Transportation, Service organisations and all VPS departments to carry out all tasks above
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering within electrical, mechanical or similar, combined with a minimum of 5 years' of experience from a similar position
- Project management education and/or training
- Advanced user of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Competencies
- You are a self-starter with a strong bias towards results with a general interest in the technology of all types
- You can work in an innovative environment and with limited information and work with data-driven decisions and priorities
- You will be required to establish relationships across functions and organisational levels to ensure effective product launches
- You can handle multiple priorities in a cross-functional environment
- You should be comfortable operating in an environment with limited formal authority and decentralised decision power
- You are an effective communicator in English, both written and spoken and should be comfortable presenting to all levels of the organisation
