The department Service Engineering is a part of the business unit Vestas Service and is acting as the technology hub in Service with a strong connection to the business unit Vestas Power Solutions (technology organisation).
The department is responsible for delivering service solutions enabling the service business within Vestas to fulfil its ambitious, strategic targets. The service solutions vary from parts and repair over maintenance concepts to product improvements like component life extensions, optimizations of performance, and cost-out initiatives. The department holds the design responsibility for service and aftersales solutions on the products no longer being manufactured.
We are responsible for delivering innovative solutions to ensure the highest possible value to Vestas customers in the service business. We actively work on the creation of repair solutions with internal repair as well as external repair companies. We contribute to combine operational WTG knowledge with new designs and for service solutions. The team works from different geographical locations and is expanding to meet the demand of a growing and challenging business.
Responsibilities
As a chemical/tribology specialist, you will act as a technical lead and be responsible for balancing the technical processes and teams. You will use your skills to ensure an optimal environment to achieve your project goals and deliver high-quality solutions. This is a rather complex task and requires both technical and managerial skills as well as the ability to effectively communicate technical issues, details and results at all organisational levels. Your work location will be Aarhus N, Denmark.
Approximately 15-20 days of travelling per year is to be expected.

- Acting as a single point of contact regarding chemicals and lubricants in Service Engineering
- Qualification of new chemicals and lubricants for repair solutions and maintenance
- Finding replacements for obsolete chemicals and lubricants
- Maintenance of chemicals database for Service
- Collaboration with 3rd party companies and sub-suppliers developing technical solutions
- Providing input to future products and solutions
Qualifications
On a professional level, we expect you to have/are:
- A relevant degree in chemical engineering or similar field
- Experience working with chemicals in a global company
- Knowledge of lubricants and experience from the wind power industry will be a plus
- Good communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing, as you will be working within a global multi-cultural environment
