If you would like to take the responsibility for the upgrade of our global SAP system with more than 20.000 users to the newest S/4 HANA, then you might be our new Senior Project Manager!
Global IT Vestas Solutions Enterprise Platforms
The enterprise platform teams covering the SAP platform (development and SAP Basis), where we run & supervise 120+ SAP systems, APP & API where we develop and run more 100 Apps and 800 interfaces, User Experience capturing business requirements and ensure adoption of solution. Test and Release management across all IT functions is also a part of the team.
You will be working together with a larger team from Global IT, the business and externals.
The preparation work for the S/4 project has been ongoing for the last 2 years and we expect to start the next phase in 2021 and the program will be fast growing over the next years, why this job is a great and challenging opportunity for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
As Senior Project Manager, your primary area of responsibility is:
The position is permanent position and the candidate is expected to deliver on other portfolio projects later.
Project Management is a cross functional discipline distributed to various teams in IT. Your PM skills network will be ensured by a Squad with more than 20 internal project managers.

- Define and set up deliverables for a set of projects and teams
- Program planning and estimation including resource management
- Communication to stakeholders
- Manage externals in the program
- Quality assurance
- Change management
- Financial management of the program
- Ensure projects meets defined objectives
- Prepare and reporting to steering committee
- Transition from project to operations mode

Qualifications
We expect you to have a solid experience in at least:
- SAP projects / programs experience from at least 3 projects
- Technical upgrades experiences will be beneficial
- Experience from the Finance area will also be beneficial
- Basic understanding of SAP software and systems, SAP technical landscapes and SAP ALM
- Solid project management skills - a formal certification in PMP/Prince2 will be beneficial, but parts of the program could be run as Agile projects
- Excellent communication and presentation skills – primarily in English
- Planning of larger transitions including change management
- Planning and securing delivery of many parallel activities at the agreed quality and in due time
- Commercial skills – being able to manage a larger number of externals from different partners
