As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you take ownership of projects and tasks assigned from scope development through start up and execution. Determine cost advantage of alternatives and develop action plans supporting the overall business objectives.
• Developing project scopes and deliveries, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline
• Analyse economics of project plans and provide actionable feedback relating to cost benefit and return-on-investment standards
• Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
As a machinery specialist you have a contributor role within area of your technical/engineering competence for vessel newbuildings and retrofits including maker selection, preparing and reviewing specifications, drawing approvals and follow construction and execution in shipyards around the world to apply company and industry standards.
Occasionally your expertise will be called upon to solve higher level technical challenges on the running fleet.
The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical/Marine Engineering background with Project management certification.
You have at least 7-10 years relevant experience in a technical organization in the maritime/ oil and gas industry.
Furthermore you:
• Have subject matter expertise in a technical area such as engines/ waste heat recovery plants etc. which will be considered with high relevance
• Have managed and delivered large projects in areas of new construction on assets in shipping/ oil and gas, retrofits or similar technical areas.
• Are a self-starter with a positive mindset
• Are a team player who is goal-orientated and demonstrates an elevated level of commitment with the ability to work under minimal supervision
• Have excellent written and verbal skills in English, to interact with people at all levels across the organization.
