Vestas CEO Service Service Operations

Service Operations is a global function in Vestas Service, supporting the five regions in delivering best-in-class service to our customers. This includes support within remote surveillance and troubleshooting, training, supply chain, repair solutions and tech support.

Within Service Operations an “Operations Management Office” has been established. The new function will own the operational aspects of a new Global Operating Model being implemented in Vestas Service these years. This includes the development of governance and tools, performance monitoring, continuous improvement etc.

In this position you will head the functional area “Technical Planning Capabilities” within the Operations Management Office. The key goal of this functional area is to support Technical Planners in the regions with capabilities enabling effective and efficient planning of service visits with the right materials, tools, instructions etc. required to keep or bring the turbine in the optimal running state, delivering value to our customers and our climate. The capabilities you will focus on first is service task lists and a service specific Bill of Materials.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities for the Product Manager:

  • Ongoing exploration of potential improvement or new projects in collaboration with key stakeholders in regions and global functions
  • Scoping of projects and portfolio prioritisation
  • Task management and prioritisation of the team backlog
  • Implementation and management of continuous improvement of task lists and other capabilities
  • Performance monitoring
  • Global communication on capabilities in scope
  • Project Management

Qualifications
Several profiles can qualify for the position. You could be an experienced product manager or continuous improvement manager from a similar company or industry. Alternatively, you could have field experience from planning or carrying out service within the wind industry. The following qualifications are furthermore expected:

  • Knowledge of service operations, for example specific knowledge about technical planning, task lists, standardisation and documentation
  • The ability to understand how systems and processes support business objectives
  • High degree of technical understanding achieved via tradecrafts, an engineering degree, practical experience as a turbine technician or similar
  • Experience from handling projects

Additional information
Your primary work location is Aarhus, Denmark and 5-10 days of travel per year is to be expected.
