Service Service Commercial Management Plant Service Solutions
Global Service Commercial - Repowering and Plant Solutions is the team responsible for Vestas' aftermarket solutions within asset management, information and control systems, repowering and pre-owned WTGs. We interact daily with a global network of market facing colleagues in our sales regions to understand opportunities and requirements from our customers, and work closely with our colleagues in various engineering departments to deliver the most suitable solutions. Our responsibility to handle these solutions over their entire lifecycle propels our focus on quality and consistency, while we always challenge ourselves to accelerate time to market.
Responsibilities
Being a new position, the Head of Pre-Owned WTG Solutions will be responsible for shaping a new and growing business area around pre-owned WTGs, i.e. WTGs that have already been operating at a wind farm site and can be re-deployed at a different site.
This includes the following activities, which will be performed by you as Head of Pre-owned and your team:

Global Service Commercial - Repowering and Plant Solutions is the team responsible for Vestas' aftermarket solutions within asset management, information and control systems, repowering and pre-owned WTGs. We interact daily with a global network of market facing colleagues in our sales regions to understand opportunities and requirements from our customers, and work closely with our colleagues in various engineering departments to deliver the most suitable solutions. Our responsibility to handle these solutions over their entire lifecycle propels our focus on quality and consistency, while we always challenge ourselves to accelerate time to market.
Responsibilities
Being a new position, the Head of Pre-Owned WTG Solutions will be responsible for shaping a new and growing business area around pre-owned WTGs, i.e. WTGs that have already been operating at a wind farm site and can be re-deployed at a different site.
This includes the following activities, which will be performed by you as Head of Pre-owned and your team:
- Establish and maintain global network of potential suppliers and partners
- Build and lead a global team of pre-owned WTG specialists to drive the commercial development and growth of this business area
- Coordinate and prioritise the development of technical solutions and concepts (e.g. for refurbishment) within the area in collaboration with engineering teams
- Perform ongoing supply and demand planning, balancing and inventory management in collaboration with supply chain and operations teams
- Develop and own global commercial processes, incl. proposal templates and input to contractual terms and conditions
- Act as global anchor to support Vestas' deal flow, bid management processes and by securing resources for project execution
Qualifications
- As the ideal candidate you have substantial prior experience in the wind industry from an OEM, Owner/operator or ISP, where you worked with wind farm construction and/or project execution, for instance as construction or project manager
- Your prior experience in complex settings, such as in new market entry or building a new service set-up shows that you are drawn to opportunities and able to supervise long-term projects to successful implementation, even in uncertain territory
- You have experience in leading people directly or in a project setting, as well as a proven history of developing and propelling the processes and structures needed to maintain a clear overview while you ensure continuous traction in your tasks. Having been involved in projects worth tens of millions of EUR, you have a good understanding of a customer's business case for a wind energy asset and its key drivers
- Your engineering background (e.g. electrical, mechanical or industrial) gives you a solid understanding of the physical and regulatory environment we operate in
