Power Solutions Applications, Controls & Electrical Release Management
Vestas Power Solutions is the cornerstone of Vestas. Through innovation, development and continuous product improvement we develop the products and technologies that reduce the cost of energy and bring the highest possible value to our customers and to Vestas. To put it short: Vestas Power Solutions develops the wind power systems of the future.
The Release Management department is a shared function in the Applications, Controls & Electrical area with around 20 employees in Aarhus, Denmark and in Porto, Portugal. The department supports 5 modules (around 500 people) with integrating, testing, deploying and releasing software solutions. We monitor and coordinate the controlled roll-out of software and ensure efficient and fast feedback to developers after delivering a feature. We advise modules on quality assurance and test automation and ensure a reliable build system with high availability. We continuously work on defining the next level of release management in Vestas, including optimizing our lead time for changes, deployment frequency and software release quality.
Responsibilities
As Test Manager, you will be the key driver in establishing a cross-module test strategy for the area that develops turbine and power plant software. You will take part in defining the test plan and overall test approach for the projects and will be handling end-to-end production readiness verification. In this position, you will also provide leadership and expertise to colleagues on different aspects of testing, including training for testers and developers where appropriate. Furthermore, you will collaborate with stakeholders both internally across the whole Vestas R&D and externally throughout the global organisation.

Furthermore, your responsibilities will be to:
- Develop a testing and quality framework to ensure all testing is carried out according to guideline and standards
- Enable test data management, test environment management and test automation
- Build and follow-up on cross-module Quality Assurance (QA) roadmap
- Understand QA aspects and encourage “shift left” activities towards our development units
- Empower QA colleagues in test teams
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who has the following qualifications:
- Relevant education at master's level
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in large organisations and with test management
- Certifications within test management (for example an ISTQB certification) would be an asset
- Be fluent in English (writing and oral)
- Have knowledge about Agile Software Development Methodologies
- Have knowledge about DevOps
