As part of Vestas' Global Transport organization main purpose is to secure our parts is in the right place at the right time and to the right cost. Transport Portfolio Planning and Business Operations is a part of Global Transport. The department has two main areas of responsibility. Firstly, we are responsible for the global transport portfolio plan maintained in close collaboration with Vestas' regions, Construction, and Supply Chain Management. Secondly, we are responsible for the shared service center in Supply Chain Operations in Chennai, India which do transport bookings and execution as well as process support for all departments within Global Supply Chain. Your tasks will be centered around the global transport portfolio plan.

Responsibilities
As Transport Portfolio Planning Specialist, you are responsible for the global transport plan delivering main components to projects around the world. You work closely together with other planning functions including Supply Chain Management, Construction and Regional Transport Planning in ensuring that globally and across the portfolio of projects all opportunities for improving the plan are pursued and implemented. Your responsibility is the transport portfolio planning, but your focus should be on contributing to an end-to-end supply chain plan that can be completed on time at the lowest cost for Vestas.

Your work location will be at Vestas office at Aarhus, Denmark or Hamburg, Germany. 10-20 travel days/year is expected.

Responsibilities
As Transport Portfolio Planning Specialist, you are responsible for the global transport plan delivering main components to projects around the world. Your responsibility is the transport portfolio planning, but your focus should be on contributing to an end-to-end supply chain plan that can be completed on time at the lowest cost for Vestas.
Expected deliverables include:
- Continuously updated global transport portfolio planning ensuring delivery end-2-end across all transport legs on time at the lowest cost
- Identify risks and capacity constraints in the transport plan
- Close alignment with all planning and execution functions working together to achieve goals
- Maintain transparency of transport cost and transport risk linked to the transport portfolio plan
- Initiate actions ensuring that targets for delivery on time and lowest cost are achieved
- Handle master data for transport planning and cost
- Contribute to projects focusing on developing improved transport processes and tools
Qualifications
- A master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Development or similar
- Experience working with complex supply chains in a global environment
- Knowledge or experience from a similar planning function is desirable
- Experience with SAP ECC and BI tools to organize and analyze data
- Superuser of Microsoft Office program
- Great verbal and written communication skills in English
