Would you like to be responsible for the EHS in WS Audiology’s Danish production site and help your colleagues work in a safe environment? Then you have the chance to be our new EHS Manager at our HQ site Lynge, Denmark.
Your responsibilities
As EHS Manager you will manage and continuously improve the EHS programs in accordance with all applicable Danish legislation, corporate and legal requirements in order to protect the health and safety of employees, protect the environment, and minimize risks to the company. The EHS Manager will report to the Global EHS Officer and represent the Danish HQ site as part of the Global EHS Team to manage risks, ensure compliance and foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

Your responsibilities
As EHS Manager you will manage and continuously improve the EHS programs in accordance with all applicable Danish legislation, corporate and legal requirements in order to protect the health and safety of employees, protect the environment, and minimize risks to the company. The EHS Manager will report to the Global EHS Officer and represent the Danish HQ site as part of the Global EHS Team to manage risks, ensure compliance and foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
Key tasks
- Establish, implement & maintain the EHS Management System based on ISO 14001 & ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001 requirements, review global & local EHS documents.
- Update of legal requirements, and evaluation to ensure compliance to legal & other requirements and communicate with the relevant departments on compliance to mandatory requirements including licenses/permits application and renewal.
- Manage the Environmental programs, the environmental permitting process including water, waste, exhaust, noise, energy consumption etc.
- Act as Chairman of the Danish EHS Committee at HQ Lynge, coordination of monthly committee meetings, members participation, training requirements and follow-up on meeting minutes.
- Manage the incident reporting and be fully in charge of the Danish APV program ……(Danish Workplace assessment program regulated by law)
- Develop and maintain the EHS program and review the exposure to physical and chemical hazards. Interpret and report the results APV to employees and management, prepare reports and recommendations to management for improvement or risk minimization
- Manage EHS inspections by Danish Authorities, Job Safety Analysis, aspects/hazards identification and impact/risk assessment and identifying threats and/or opportunities for continual improvement, and program audits of production areas, laboratories, and technical spaces.
- Make recommendations to address improvements in managing EHS risk and be required to elicit cooperation of others through contacts between departments
- Organize the emergency rescue drill of the entity
- Conduct EHS Orientation for new hires, and other necessary EHS related training courses.
- Knowledge of sustainability is also very welcome
You
- 3-5+ years of EHS experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or related field
- Requires detailed knowledge and experience in ISO45001/OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001, EHS compliance, and managing the interaction with authorities
- Candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills and organizational abilities and be fluent in Danish and English
