As part of procurement’s transformational journey, we are looking for an experienced leader to drive the process of improving the maturity and proactiveness of Global Indirect Procurement.
Enhance and develop indirect procurement to deliver world-class support
As Director of Indirect Procurement, you will be overall responsible for managing indirect procurement across GN globally and drive the journey towards becoming a more strategic and proactive business partner. With direct report to VP Global Procurement, you will lead a team of six passionate and skilled procurement professionals that manage indirect procurement categories across relevant functions and drive end-to-end procurement projects.
Together with your team, you will enhance a Category Management mindset for Indirect Procurement, including mapping category trends, stakeholder needs, spend development and supplier base. Furthermore, you will drive execution of sourcing projects facilitating transparency in the supplier selection processes, focus on optimising relation with strategic suppliers and ensuring agreement compliance and performance reporting.
Besides being part of the Global Procurement Management Team, you will be part of extended management groups across GN and engage closely with internal stakeholders from relevant business areas and functions. You will be responsible for driving the transformation of Indirect Procurement with the purpose of increasing the maturity and proactiveness of the function to capture a large unreleased potential and deliver measurable results to meet Executive Management’s expectations.
In order to succeed, you must be able to execute on the vision and the strategic plan and create awareness and transparency of Indirect Procurement throughout the organisation and change the approach to Indirect Procurement as well as the mindset of stakeholders at all levels.
Experienced indirect procurement leader, with an ability to excite and engage a global organisation
Aside from your solid experience with global indirect procurement, strategic sourcing and team management, we are looking for a proactive leader who can engage our team and drive the next steps of our transformational journey into making a world-class indirect procurement function.
Your management style is open and visionary, and you have a distinct coaching approach to your team and continuously develop and challenge them. You thrive in a global environment, energise the people around you and are able to create good relationships with your stakeholders. Your analytical mindset and attention to detail makes you a persuasive negotiator, who are able to manage supplier and contract management processes with outspoken diplomacy.
