EG is looking for a strong Finance Business Partner to contribute to the transformation of EG’s financial organization into a state-of-the-art business partner set-up supporting a growing business. The new Finance Business Partner will join the group of experienced Business Partners and become pivotal in implementing performance management and increase the focus on financial transparency within each business unit.
EG is one of Scandinavia’s leading suppliers of industry-specific software to both the private and public sectors and develops its own subscription-based, industry-specific data service and cloud solutions (Software as a Service / SaaS) for more than 17,000 clients.
EG was in June 2019 acquired by Francisco Partners Management. The company has approx. 1,000 employees in represented in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Poland. The company was established in 1977, in Herning under the name EDB Gruppen.
EG has a constant ambition to grow, both organically and through acquisitions within vertical software markets. Over the last decade, the company has completed 23 acquisitions, and in the coming years, EG expects to complete approximately 4-5 acquisitions per year.
Key responsibilities
The Finance Business Partner will be part of a team of 4-5 Finance Business Partners and is expected to take ownership of the finance processes and performance management of a number of business units within one of the Divisions.
Main task include:
• Partnering with the business unit leader to provide insightful analysis, guidance and decision-making support to help optimize business performance and the execution of financial and stratEGic plans. This includes comprehensive analysis of the financial performance and key metrics of the business divisions, as well as challenging and influencing the organization to support growth initiatives and drive value from stratEGic to operational decision making and execution.
• Taking ownership for executing and guiding the business unit in all aspects of the annual and monthly planning and forecasting processes.
• Participating and providing business input towards the development of financial performance management processes, management methodology and operating systems. This includes a continuous focus on identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identifying and implementing cost reductions across the organization.
• Take ownership over finance processes in the business units – be the one-point-of-contact between the business unit and finance
Year one critical success factors KPIs include:
• Establish strong working relationships with Business Unit leads.
• Successful development and implementation of the annual finance cycle
• Optimization of the current finance management setup
• Successfully intEGrate and collaborate with the BU management team and the finance organization.
Professional experience/qualifications
EG is looking for a top-performing commercial finance professional with at least 5 years’ experience in a best-in-class finance department, ideally coupled with experience from the IT/technology industry. This implies a high caliber candidate with a solid finance toolbox and strong project management skills, as well as superior analytical and quantitative capabilities.
As the role is very independent, the right candidate must be self-motivating, results-oriented and ambitious with a high energy level, as well as a willingness to be hands-on with an attention to detail.
Furthermore, strong relationship building (internally and externally), stakeholder management and collaborative skills as well as nEGotiation, communication and presentation skills are required in order to sell in EG and successfully lead all activities.
Education
An MBA or a master’s dEGree in Economics, Finance, Auditing or equivalent.
Language requirements
Polished communicator with excellent language skills in English and Danish (written and verbally).
