Group Financial Reporting & Controlling is looking for a Senior Financial Controller with solid IFRS experience who possess a significant drive and excellent team spirit.

Group Financial Reporting & Controlling is part of Group Finance at GN Group and consist of three teams working closely together, Group Controlling, Group Consolidation and Group Reporting/Compliance.

We are 14 dedicated and highly skilled employees enforcing the GN Group’s financial reporting, accounting policies and practices with no surprises. The goal of the department is to “ensure reliable, accurate and timely financial reporting to Executive Management and to GN Store Nord's board of directors and shareholders” by proactively handling changes in accounting environment as well as in the business of GN Group.

We believe in a strong collaboration with other group functions and all our local finance organization, and we aim to improve the financial quality of the GN Group and reduce risks to acceptable level through proper internal control environment.

Take charge of controlling assignments
You will be responsible for the entities of a designated region, where you are to ensure that they are reporting according to GN Group guidelines and IFRS:

  • Participate in the monthly and quarterly reporting to Group Management
  • Act as sparring partner for the country finance managers and employees in our affiliates
  • Travel to entities to train and support the local finance department and gather project and business knowledge
  • Perform dedicated controlling of the reporting from our affiliates to secure quality in our reporting
  • Support and challenge closing processes in our affiliates and help local finance teams setting up, maintaining, and developing processes that mitigate risks and increase quality in reporting
  • Analyze data and information to support Group Management in decision making
  • Prepare and update accounting finance manual and reporting guidelines and secure implementation in our affiliates
  • Work with IFRS and develop competencies to challenge and implement new IFRS standards
  • Participate in cross-functional projects such as M&A activities and optimization projects in close cooperation with our internal stakeholders

You will be a key employee in the process of optimizing, maintaining and developing our financial controlling, to ensure an efficient and accurate financial reporting in accordance with the GN Group accounting policy and IFRS.

You can expect 20-30 travel days per year to our global subsidiaries.

Join an ambitious team of finance professionals

You must have 4-6 years of experience from an international auditing firm and preferable a minimum 2 years of controlling experience from a listed or larger international company.

Moreover, you have an eye for quality, and you:

  • You hold a master’s degree in Business Economics and Auditing (cand. merc. aud.).
  • Preferable, you have a solid experience with IFRS.
  • You are an advanced user of Excel and can prepare complex topics in a concise manner.
  • You are a team player, meaning that you adapt to the team, build team spirit, listen and communicate proactively
  • You can analyze numerical and verbal data as well as other sources of information, and you are able to challenge the information and break it down into components, parts, patterns, and relationships
  • You are open-minded and driven by presenting and communicating information in a logic way to different level of finance competencies
  • You are fluent in both written and spoken English
  • You are ready to invest both time and effort in your personal and professional development

Training and supporting our Group companies are some of the key areas in the team. The position will enable you to use your deep understanding of finance processes and solid IFRS knowledge to maintain and develop the reporting from our group companies.
