As part of the digital IC team, you play a vital part from requirements to silicon for the low power hearing chipsets we design constantly pushing the limit of the technology. GN Hearing is looking for senior digital IC designers to work in the area of low power wireless ICs and low power processors.

GN Hearing was the first company launching a made-for-iPhone® hearing aid, and we work on new and award-winning solutions. At the headquarters in Ballerup, Denmark, you will join the IC team that develops chipsets and creates leading edge ASIC designs all the way from RTL to GDSII.
Design of the GN Hearing chipsets
As Digital IC engineer, you get the chance to design best in class DSP/processors and low power wireless ICs together with your skilled and dedicated colleagues. You would work with the entire implementation flow from early draft requirement specifications to a fully verified silicon in the laboratory. As part of the digital IC team, you will be involved in:

In the IC team, you will join 28 specialist development engineers that combine talents to make life sound better through innovative low power chipsets. We work well together and continuously give each other feedback, cooperating closely to bring forward the best results. Becoming a member of this dynamic team of specialists, you get to bring your expertise and experience in digital design into play. Further GN offers an active career development and social activities in the company’s multiple clubs, such as soccer, photography, brewing beer or skiing.
You are eager to learn and share knowledge
GN values your open personality and your excellent interpersonal and communicational skills. You thrive on cooperation and feedback, bringing your can-do attitude and team player mentality to the table. You hold a master’s degree in electronics/IC design and have at least 10 years of experience from a similar role, enabling you to guide your colleagues, drive design of sub-blocks and contribute to the development of the team. Design of the GN Hearing chipsets
As Digital IC engineer, you get the chance to design best in class DSP/processors and low power wireless ICs together with your skilled and dedicated colleagues. You would work with the entire implementation flow from early draft requirement specifications to a fully verified silicon in the laboratory. As part of the digital IC team, you will be involved in:
- Implementation of IPs at module level and integrate at the chip top-level
- Develop extreme low power DSP/processors
- Develop low power wireless ICs
- Develop next generation AI
- Verify designs through relevant testcases and testbenches on the projects
- Contribute to micro-architecture definition and develop high-level models for system design
- Strengthen level of tools and flow automation
- Driving design for testability across our projects

- Structured design methodology from specification to final product
- Solid hands-on RTL design skills in VHDL or Verilog
- HDL simulators and viewers like VCS, DVE, Verdi, Incisive
- Verification methodologies and language such as SystemVerilog / UVM
- A strong passion for quality, understanding the importance of verification
- Documenting your design
- Python, TCL, Shell scripting, Makefiles or others
- Knowledge of FPGA design with Xilinx tool flow is an advantage
