This is a unique opportunity for you to be part of the Ambu Global Supply Chain team in an exciting key role as Head of Planning & S&OP. We are looking for a new colleague to join our team on the journey of growing and improving Global Supply Chain.
Ambu is an international and inspiring company with ambitious growth targets. We develop, produce and sell medical devices that enable doctors and nurses to save lives on a daily basis.
You will join the Planning Team, which currently comprises of 5 experienced and dedicated colleagues with a broad background within Planning and Demand handling. You will report to the VP Global Supply Chain and work closely with stakeholders within Ambu, such as Logistics on our manufacturing sites but also Sales, R&D And finance. Besides this you will have a wide range of responsibilities and reach out to our Internal manufacturing’s sites across the globe.
The Planning team works out of Ambu’s headquarters in Ballerup.

The Planning team works out of Ambu’s headquarters in Ballerup.
Your main responsibilities will be the following:
- Establish and manage one common S&OP process, tools and standards globally while raising the overall S&OP capability and maturity level
- Manage a team of up to 6 people
- Demand forecasting: Create and release unconstrained demand forecast
- Inventory planning: Set and maintain the right finished goods inventory levels (safety and cycle stock, reordering points)
- S&OP balancing: Plan, prepare and conduct the S&OP cycle and meetings
- S&OP communication: Plan, prepare and conduct communication related to S&OP (internal and external)
- Be responsible for balancing the global manufacturing capacity needs and internal alignment with the Manufacturing owners
- Stakeholder alignment and communication
- Support and maintain S&OP tools (Perito)
- Measure, control and improve S&OP plan through clearly defined metrics and naturally manage the local distribution team of 4 people
Your background is within Shipping/Distribution with:
- Strong global end-to-end SC understanding
- Deep knowledge and understanding of S&OP process management
- Deep knowledge and understanding of demand, inventory and supply planning
- Min. Super User level knowledge and understanding of SC planning tools, ERP systems (e.g., Axapta, SAP, M3 or others), Excel, and data warehousing
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience from a similar position
- High energetic drive, motivation, and accountability
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
