We offer a challenging position where you will play an important role in building the brand-new Post Market Clinical Development function based in Clinical Research & Biosafety placed under Global Innovation. You will participate in securing our ongoing dedication to quality products.
You will join the Clinical Research & Biosafety team consisting of 18 colleagues. 14 of us are based at Ambu’s headquarters in Ballerup, Denmark, and four colleagues work out of our site in Penang, Malaysia.
You will report to the Director of Corporate Clinical Research and Biosafety placed in Ballerup, and you will lead a team of currently three professionals.
Post Market activities and timely execution
In this role, you will lead and develop the newly establish Post Market Clinical Development team. Your aim for the function is to ensure that all relevant post market clinical activities are conducted in a timely manner, that our marketed products are in continuous compliance with clinical regulations and that relevant commercial activities are sufficient clinical supported.
To do this, your team members will participate in incremental development projects with the aim to develop and test marketed products. This means that you and your team have to be well versed in regulations and guidelines related to the clinical area but also have a good understanding of how to best support the portfolio with publications, white papers, post market clinical investigations etc.
You will work closely with the Director of Clinical Research & Biosafety to set the bar for post market clinical documentation and to ensure that quality and speed is balanced. It is important in this role that you focus on timely execution of clinical evaluation and investigation activities but also facilitate a healthy commercial understanding.
Passion and experience
To succeed in this position, you need to have a min. of 5 years’ experience in a relevant medical device area combined with a relevant academic degree, e.g. a MSc in Health or similar. You also need to have sufficient knowledge of EU/FDA regulations and guidelines related to the clinical area. It is a prerequisite for the position to have experience with and interest in team management.
As a person, you lead by example, have a good commercial understanding and it is natural for you to take ownership of your area of responsibility. It is important that working with your stakeholders comes natural to you and that you enjoy working in a changing and challenging environment. You are an efficient communicator and you are a very good networker. Additionally, you make accurate judgements and decisions and you feel a natural desire to drive continuous improvement.
Finally, you need to have excellent command of the English language, as this will be your main working language – verbally and in writing.
