Airflight ApS is a new and fast-growing company on a mission to build the largest drones in the world for the purpose of industrial hoisting - replacing cranes for small operations. Located in Brønderslev, Denmark, the company was established in 2019 by the two owners Mikkel Kærsgaard Sørensen and Travis James Mathers, and today the organization is driven by 10 competent and devoted employees. The team primarily consists of a group of highly skilled technical profiles with backgrounds in engineering and hardware and software development. Airflight’s long-term vision is to be a leading supplier of drones used for industrial hoisting, thus making a valuable contribution to the green transition in the wind industry by creating more efficient hoisting solutions for service and maintenance. As Airflight’s new Head of Electronics you will get the opportunity to make your mark on the company’s mission to streamline service operations in the industrial segment, and you will be joining an organisation characterized by a strong entrepreneurial spirit, a high drive, and a close cooperation within the team. You will experience a fast-paced, inspirational, and dynamic work environment and a culture based on freedom with responsibility. With reference to the management, you will get a key role in the organization, where you will be responsible for managing the company’s electronic development team. You will take part in designing and developing the electronic hardware and the overall system in collaboration with the rest of the team. In this process you will handle layout and testing, while optimizing the electronic hardware for use in the company’s heavy lift drones. Additionally, you will make sure all electronic solutions comply with international standards and requirements. To be successful in the role we expect you to have a relevant background in engineering. Moreover, it is crucial to your success in the role that you have multiple years of experience working within the field of electronic hardware – ideally from one of the following industries: aviation, drones, robotics, or automation control. You are expected to be fluent in English since you will be joining a diverse team with several different nationalities. Furthermore, you must work comfortably with Computer Vision, Embedded systems, C++ and Python programming as well as Automatic control, power electronics and digital electronics.You are characterized by an ambitious and optimistic mindset, and you thrive in an entrepreneurial work environment with a strong emphasis on innovation, dedication, and quality. You are also highly self-disciplined, curious, and passionate, and you constantly strive to be an asset to the team both professionally and socially. At the same time, you are business oriented, energetic, and self-driven, and your attention to detail and ability to see the broader perspective makes you a valuable part of the product development. You are a confident decision-maker and find it natural to take ownership of your assignments and responsibilities, and you approach your daily tasks with a high level of efficiency always making sure that deadlines are met.
