The role you’ll play

As the Head of Solution Sales, you will be instrumental in driving the success of our newly launched solution sales team by designing customer-specific solutions for our cutting-edge SaaS products and language solutions. You will lead a team of solution experts who work alongside our sales and customer success organization, participating in customer meetings, pre-sales, and solution development dialogues. Your primary focus will be supporting sales growth through ensuring our sales teams are equipped to deliver high-value solutions that align with customer needs.

In addition to shaping deals, you’ll play a crucial role in bringing the voice of the customer into our product development process. You will act as the key liaison between our sales, marketing and product teams, gathering insights from the market and customers to inform future product and service development. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine technical understanding, customer engagement, and strategic leadership to help shape the future of LanguageWire’s technology and services solutions.

We are looking for a Head of Solution Sales to join our team in Copenhagen. You will lead the Solution Sales Team within the Commercial Excellence area, a group of dynamic solution experts who thrive on working collaboratively across departments. Together, you will ensure that customers receive world-class solutions adaptable to their needs. Your team will be the bridge between what’s possible and what’s needed, helping to drive both customer satisfaction and revenue growth. You will be part of a global company and be collaborating across all of LanguageWire markets.

• Your team has become an integral part of our sales process, consistently helping to close deals with bespoke solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.

• You’ve fostered strong cross-functional relationships across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Customer Success, with customer insights effectively informing product development decisions.

• New business conversion and existing customer upsell/cross-sell have increased thanks to the value delivered by the solutions your team designed.

• Your leadership has resulted in measurable revenue growth, particularly in the prioritized SaaS products and language solutions, by supporting the sales and customer success teams in high-impact engagements.

• Your team is rating their engagement above average in LanguageWire

Desired experience and competencies

What you’ll need to bring

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a relevant business and technical field. Additional certifications or courses in product or solution selling and sales methodologies or similar is an advantage but not a requirement.

• 5-10 years of experience in product sales and pre-sales with a focus on SaaS and/or professional services.

• Experience from the Language Service Industry is an advantage but not a requirement

• Strong understanding of language technology (e.g., AI-driven translation tools, localization technology) and translation services - or ability to quickly acquire it.

• Revenue-driven and proven track record of supporting sales growth

• Proven leadership skills in mobilizing and managing teams, ideally from a similar role in a cross-functional, sales support environment.

• Experience from sales or working directly with sales teams to build customer-centric solutions.

• Ability to translate customer needs into business and technical requirements in a clear storyline.

• Experience working according to structured sales methodologies and processes - experience with MEDDICC is an advantage but not a requirement

• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a customer and value based mindset.

• Ability to manage diverse stakeholders from customers to internal departments to align priorities and teams towards a common goal.

• Demonstrated ability to gather market insights and feed them into the product development process.

• An organized and structured way of working

• Strong willingness to work in a dynamic and ambitious environment with an informal tone

• Fluent in English – both verbally and written
