As a Senior Compliance Manager, you are part of the Customs & Trade team within Group Compliance, driving optimization and further development of DSV’s global customs and trade compliance functions. You are an inspiring sparring partner and manager at the same time and capable of identifying and implementing internal process improvements in collaboration with other departments, driving continuous development of our global customs and trade compliance function from a corporate perspective.
The position reports to our Senior Director Customs & Trade, Group Compliance and will preferably be based in the Netherlands, but Denmark is optional.

Key duties:
- Monitor and secure global compliance with DSV’s internal customs and export control policies as well as relevant regulations and legislation
- Support and optimize internal compliance audit programs and documentation as well as corresponding organizational process and business developments
- Lead and take an active role in development of customs & trade compliance related tools and systems to deliver industry leading solutions to our operations
- Gather and analyse relevant compliance data, translating that into relevant and effective processes, system and control optimization (including metrics & KPIs)
- Drive implementation of optimized and / or new processes working with key stakeholders and other departments as required
- Build strong and effective relations with other departments / functions and country leadership
- Support change management and the further strengthening of the team and its responsibilities
- Be a communicative sparring partner and advisor to customers and stakeholders at all levels of our organization

- have knowledge of, and affinity with the dynamics of operational processes in the global logistics and freight forwarding industry
- have a strong knowledge of customs processes and their impact
- have knowledge of trade compliance (Export Control) regulations
- have the ability to navigate and communicate within the dynamics of a large and global organisation
- have project and change management skills
- are an excellent communicator at all levels
- have leadership and coaching skills
- can demonstrate a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in a similar or comparable position
- are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Any additional language is a plus
- don’t mind having occasional travel (average 25 – 30 days a year).
