This is your chance to work on a strategic level to develop our 2nd line support in Road IT.

Your work will not only make us even more effective in taking care of incidents and problems, but also help develop and shape the future setup of our support in Road IT in Europe. You will also work proactively on maintaining stable operations. This is ensuring that the expected outcome & quality is delivered within agreed service levels and manage the expectation of the customer on our main applications.

We are responsible for the IT delivery to the DSV Road division in Europe, North America and South Africa. In this new role, you will head up our European support team consisting of 13 colleagues. Together, we ensure 2nd line support and stable operations on our TMS systems. Our goal is to have satisfied internal customers by delivering professional service with clear communication to relevant stakeholders.

Right now, the Road division is in the process of rolling out a new TMS platform across Europe – and we have already been successful in the Baltics.

“Your team has a team lead, and all 13 colleagues are based in Warsaw, Poland. But as we roll out the new platform, and you expand your area of responsibility, you may hire team members in several European countries,” says Carl.

The future of the Road IT support manager, Europe

Based in Hedehusene, Denmark (alternatively Warsaw, Poland), you will work on developing your team and taking care of our main applications to match our organic growth and the roll-out of the IT platform.

Overall, you will be responsible for the delivery, operation and maintenance of the main applications and 2nd level support for the business. This includes stakeholder management.

Ensuring that we deliver the expected outcome and quality within agreed service levels, you will manage the expectation of your DSV colleagues (the customers) in relation to the system. Specifically, you will:

• Work proactively to ensure stable operations on applications and carry out weekly and monthly reporting

• Act as a trusted IT advisor for our Operational and Regional TMS Director

• Make sure we comply with the established SLA on supported applications

• Negotiate follow-up on vendor contracts and follow up on vendor financial activities to find cost saving activities

• Maintain and coordinate DSV disaster recovery principles and business continuity plans, execution, and follow-up

• Develop, maintain, and follow up on KPI’s for continuous improvement

Strong management experience and a strategic mindset

Also, you must have a strategic mindset that allows you to think long-term, organize your efforts and motivate your team to develop and grow,” explains Carl, who also imagines that you:

• Have several years of experience managing IT support teams in a strategic setting – preferably from a large international organization

• May have experience from the transport industry

• Are fluent in English

• Have experiences from working with ITIL
