To enable growth, and develop solutions and value propositions that addresses the needs of our customers from various industry verticals, we are looking for a talented and experienced customer insights manager.
The successful candidate, will join a team of vertical customer insights managers and customer solution managers, who together work towards designing and developing market leading value propositions for customers from various segments and industry verticals (Automotive, FMCG, Retail, Lifestyle, Chemicals, Technology & Electronics & Refrigerated cargo).
To be successful in the role, the candidate must be an enthusiastic and passionate person, team player who can also act with high sense of independence, and be comfortable working in an environment of ambiguity & frequent change.

You will be part of Global Sales & Marketing organization. Here we are driving the strategic agenda for our customers from variety of segments and industry verticals, ensuring we deliver value and growth through targeted solutions and value propositions. In this role, the successful candidate will become sparring partner to the global head of industry vertical, and will be driving delivery of high quality customer insights to untap new business opportunities. The role has multiple focus areas, with key being understanding the gaps between what the customers needs and what Maersk should be able to offer, in order to satisfy those needs. Further, the role will require understanding key trends within the industry vertical, and helping the relevant stakeholders to formulate relevant strategies & derive new business opportunities.

The successful candidate, will be involved in value proposition development teams acting as customer insights subjects matter expert.

Key responsibilities


• Achieve a level of throughout understanding of customer needs (current & emerging), and help translating those into best possible customer solutions & value propositions
• Act as subject matters expert for the customer insights within assigned industry vertical(s), while being part of value propositions and solutions development project teams
• Effectively formulate research purpose & scope, research questions, follow-up on progress, deliver reports etc.
• Leading foundational research work, including directly recruiting & interviewing customers, and/or coordinating the research through external customer research agencies
• Design, plan, execute and report on customer workshops/co creation sessions
• Facilitate industry global vertical insights community
• Monitor key trends within the vertical, and help the relevant stakeholders with converting those into long-term strategies & business opportunities
• Consult relevant internal stakeholders across regions (front line sales, regional insights colleagues, product managers, marketing etc.) to refine and better translate insights obtained from customers.
• Create impactful presentations summarizing relevant customer insights, to effectively influence key stakeholders

We are looking for candidate that is comfortable operating in an environment of ambiguity and frequent change.

We look for the following skills & experience for this role:
• 4+ years of hands-on experience working with customer insights, with proven quantitative and qualitative research skills
• Market research experience
• Excellent analytical and communication (written & spoken) skills, being able to deliver clear recommendation based on data/research results
• Customer-centric mindset with an eye for innovation & details
• Proven experience on creating strong rapport with customers
• Ability to manage & engage stakeholders at all organizational levels and build long lasting relationships
• Project management skills at advanced level
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
• Advanced presentation skills
• Excellent prioritization abilities
• Resilient to change and comfortable with fast shifting priorities, workload and responsibilities
• Self-starter, self-motivator, comfortable with high level of autonomy, while also a team player
• Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in related field

Following skills & experience will be considered as advantage for this role:
• Proven experience developing and embedding customer insights into an international organization
• Industry experience with one or more of the following: FMCG, Retail, Automotive, Technology, Lifestyle, Chemicals, Refrigerated goods transportation
• Managing vendors in the research field
