This is what we do in the Flow team and as Asset and Cost Manager your focus will be to keep the total cost of ownership in control as well as support the total yield to be as high as possible.

You will identify cost-optimizing opportunities across Ocean and Land, take ownership on formulizing these into projects and initiate work with the relevant stakeholders to implement and drive change.
Other key tasks:
• Manage agreements with 3rd party digital providers to optimize container triangulation on land.
• Act as an ambassador for the empty model and flow adjustments
• Ensure visibility to cost of empty repositioning across Maersk in corporation with finance business partners
• Drive simplification of the Equipment Flow Process
• Own processes to define the right equipment buffer or target stock in our regions
• Act as entry point for LOCs on Equipment coordination related matters
• Lead initiatives to better utilize our container equipment with full cargo and reduce empty movements
• Create feedback loops and communication triggers for change/review with ROM and N&M for full flows and LOC for empty flows based on Flow Plan and Geography
There are different backgrounds for the ideal candidate e.g. finance, operations processes or data processes – the most important is that you have in-depth knowledge and experience with driving own job discipline.
You have solid experience in driving optimization across processes or cost areas, routinely applying knowledge of theories, methods, techniques and processes.
Furthermore you:
• Will handle most situations independently, receives minimal guidance, but will seek advice and guidance on more complex issues.
• Apply subject matter knowledge to solve common business issues.
• Operate within practices and procedures covered by precedents or well-defined policies, escalating all nonroutine problems.
• Are able to work with big datasets, derive insights from it and translate them for targeted audiences
• Understand the overall nature of the business and the interdependencies between own and other functions; stock buffer, evacuation planning and CAPEX are means to deliver the customer promise
• Have product management skills to run, maintain and improve the incentives and triangulation products
• Present results of own work outside of team but is mainly internally oriented.
