As an insights analytics manager you will gain broad business knowledge of the company’s activities globally, as well as understand how customer centricity is transforming the transport and logistics business.

You will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing analytical solutions to strategic business challenges, defining and maintaining a backlog of activities that aligns to the overarching objectives of Sales and Marketing.
You will work closely with business teams across Maersk to understand the problem and solution space; with data engineering and platform teams to ensure the data landscape and system functionality requirements are well defined and delivered against; with other analysts in Customer Insights or third party agencies to build the analytical solutions; and again with end users to ensure the actionable learnings or capabilities you develop are embedded into business processes.
You will deal with complex, challenging problems requiring strategic thinking. Your ability to coach and foster collaboration will be key, both within the immediate Customer Insights team but also in the wider community.
You will actively contribute to the customer data foundations at Maersk, designing and managing governance processes to ensure robust information is captured or defined, and eventually applied in core systems.
It is key that we democratise our data insights, and you will drive a roadmap to put the right data, tools, and analytical resources in the hands of colleagues where appropriate.
You will have a strong ability to present and enlighten others about your findings, at the top and bottom of the organisation.

Strong hands-on analytical experience, with evidence of having delivered commercial value from actionable insights.
5+ years SQL (or equivalent) experience in data wrangling; working knowledge of R/Python for statistical modelling; strong Excel tabulation skills; experience of creating dashboard in Tableau or Power BI.
Strategically minded and an expert at structured problem-solving, able to break problems into component pieces.
The ability to set analytical direction for analyst colleagues or agency partners.
Be a people person that builds strong relationships and recognises and incorporates the perspectives of others.
Deliver in-line with the expectations you set.
Be as happy shaping the strategic direction as you are performing hands-on analysis.
Confidently and defensibly be able to present your direction.
Believe in an evidence-based, continuous improvement culture.
Be happy in an environment that is undergoing large change.
Maersk utilises the Microsoft Azure stack for data pipelines and analytical tooling; you will be working in Databricks and Power BI, and will be actively exposed to Azure Data Factory and SQL Server Analysis Services.
