Key responsibilities
The Senior Engineering Manager is responsible for that “the construction and engineering standards for new own Cold Chain Logistics (CCL) facilities as well as long-term leased facilities (built to suit)” are in adherence with company standards and targets as well as local regulation. The Senior Engineering Manager define and drive Engineering standards for CCL facilities.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining Engineering standards for new Cold store facilities as well as retrofitting or refurbishing of exiting own facilities in order to achieve the most efficient and sustainable operation in accordance with local regulation.
• Responsible for general Engineering requirements for leased as well as 3rd party Cold store facilities.
• Define strategies for efficient and sustainable Engineering solutions and obtain approval of these.
• Guide Facility and Project owners in respect to Engineering requirements.
• Participate in Project Teams for new and rebuilding projects, when required.
• Ensure knowledge about present standards, strategies and solutions throughout the organisation and conduct training when and where required for Cold store construction.
• Define scope, identify and engage consultants for general evaluations within scope of work, when required.
• Establish general cost pictures and efficiency of Engineering solutions.
• Constantly scan for more efficient and sustainable solutions and maintain up to date knowledge (Knowledge centre).
