At Maersk we are accelerating our efforts to decarbonize our fleet, and technology is playing a key role in this agenda. Maersk consumes close to 11M tons of fuel each year, come help us reduce that footprint.
We are looking for four ambitious Program Managers to lead the development “StarConnect “, our new fleet energy optimization platform.
The platform consists of four products
Fleet Insights – Growing the range of actionable fuel efficiency data and insights gathered through IoT and other means, to shore based technical managers, vessel managers and management teams on our ships
Time Charter Fuel Efficiency – Developing and deploying Fuel Efficiency tools towards our Chartered fleet
Voyage – Developing automated or semi-automated weather optimized route and speed guidance for improving fuel consumption of our ships
Vessel Modelling – Developing the underlying data models, machine learning and decision support engines that inform fuel optimization efforts

Key responsibilities
You will be responsible for transforming value propositions into features that deliver benefits to end users and Maersk as a whole.
Reporting into the Product Owner, you will contribute to the overall StarConnect strategy and value proposition by leading a cross-functional feature team to build experiences that delight end users while solving complex business problems. You will continuously align with the other StarConnect product teams to ensure consistency and avoid duplication.
In close co-operation with the Product Owner and Lead Software Engineer, you will
convert prioritized business problems and use cases into persona-based user stories.
ensure that the development scrum team delivers the product value proposition through robust technical solutions
ensure that new features reach end users on time and are of high quality
drive user adoption, user satisfaction and efficiency of user journeys
maintain the product backlog and ensure focus on critical path
accept or reject sprint results in collaboration with the Product Owner
We are looking for
passion for energy efficiency,
background in end user oriented, agile software product development,
data driven and structured approach to work, while being able to balance qualitative and quantitative communication
experience in leading cross-functional teams, preferably as a Product Owner or Lead Engineer in IoT and data driven products.
understanding of and experience in liner operations, and/or network design is a plus
strong interpersonal skills, team orientation and learning mindset, displaying the ability to connect, build relationships and effectively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders
strategy focused approach to value creation
excellent written and verbal English communication skills and
the ability to deliver technical messages in compelling ways to non-technical stakeholders
