The position as Manager is reporting to the Fleet Group Manager. You will act as Owners representative, responsible for overseeing a fleet of externally managed, Company-owned container vessels; ensuring safe, reliable and cost-effective vessel operation – in line with defined expectations and targets.

- You will be based at the head office of the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group in Copenhagen, Denmark.
- International travelling shall be expected, occasionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safe, reliable and cost effective operation of our externally managed vessels – through close engagement with the external technical managers.
- Drive vessel fuel efficiency optimization, in cooperation with our Energy Performance team.
- Reporting and follow-up Safety related and Technical incidents – for corrective actions and learnings taking.
- Account management, DRC budgeting & cost reporting.
- Monitor unplanned maintenance, repairs and modifications to the vessels’ hull and machineries within approved budgets.
- Monitor Vessel inspections, and follow up on vessel performance with technical managers, ensuring required corrective actions are taken.
- Ensure that vessel dry-dockings are planned, scoped and executed timely and cost effectively by vessel managers.
- Attend Crisis Management meetings when needed.
- Make suggestions for innovation, savings and improvements within the your area of responsibility.
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting to management.
- Build on the collaboration and drive engagement with the 3rd party managers.
- Benchmarking on performance of External vs. Own-managed fleet.

- The position calls for a person with strong managerial skills, a great overview and excellent communication- and collaborative skills, who is able to navigate between multiple tasks and stakeholders at same time.
- You are a self-motivated, a strong team player, able to see the bigger picture.
- You are a structured person, who maintains a high drive - also in a hectic and dynamic environment - whilst keeping the oversight in crisis events.
- Your language skills are excellent in both written and spoken English, being the working language of the Company.
- You also have a strong and ambitious drive, and you are capable of making independent decisions based on experience, knowledge and information available for each unique situation.
- Overall, you have a positive mindset and are willing to go the extra mile to succeed.
