Opportunity
The Head of Cold Chain Standards, reporting to the Global Head of Engineering, is responsible to create and provide engineering design standards and inputs to the business that will enable successful expansion of cold chain facilities around the world.
This high-impact role will ensure facilities are designed to meet international standards of quality, efficiency, productivity, safety and sustainability. If you are a self-starter with significant experience in developing cold chain facility designs across geographies, developing building standards and technical handbooks, partnering with high level stakeholders and if you believe you can thrive in a high-paced growth-focused company, this is a role for you!

Key Responsibilities
- Drive the creation of technical handbooks for construction of cold chain facilities, including but not limited to standards for land, building, materials, fittings and equipment, safety & resilience and environmental aspects.
- Provide engineering consultation and guidance to business on development of cold facilities
- Provide engineering and construction cost inputs to business on cold chain investment proposals
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure construction standards are understood and adopted
- Inspect the construction and performance of buildings to identify where standards not met or complied with
- Ensure collaboration with S&R and Green teams to incorporate HSSE, Green standards into the technical design standards.
- Partner with Procurement teams to provide inputs on materials and vendor selection.
- Maintaining internal client relationships, serving as the point of contact for their projects, and developing opportunities for further work
What are we looking for:
- Bachelors in engineering, architecture, building sciences or relevant subjects.
- Minimum 5-7 years professional experience in the cold chain engineering design field
- Experienced in Technical handbook development (or certifications as necessary)
- Construction Project management experience a plus
- Team player and collaborative nature.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Excellent knowledge of building permits, legal requirements and construction procedures.
- Construction Cost budget management experience
- Experience working for a diverse multi-disciplined company.
- Attention to detail and technical (written and verbal) communication skills.
- Able to thrive in a team-focused environment and engage in creative, critical thought; takes initiative and can function at a high level on multi-disciplinary teams.
