The Compliance Manager Risk & Control will play a pivotal role in the Compliance Risk and Control Team by supporting and further developing the compliance risk and control framework.

It is our mission to enable subject matter expert teams to operationalise compliance requirements and deliver aligned, scalable, and business-friendly solutions using tools, technology and analytics to drive effective compliance management.

Examples of the subject matter teams that the role will be supporting are anti-corruption, sanctions and export controls, competition law or data privacy. The role will also work in close alignment with further partner functions such as ESG and Human Rights.

The Compliance Manager Risk & Control will find him- or herself in a challenging environment characterized by constant change and the role will require a strong problem-solving mindset. Key responsibility will be to support and further develop the compliance risk and control framework including enhancing data monitoring capabilities from a risk and controls standpoints.

Example can include:

  • Support the development of and drive an integrated compliance risk framework
  • Support designing and leading compliance risk assessments
  • Maintain and further develop the compliance internal controls framework; hereunder
  • Support the design and implementation of controls to ensure compliance
  • Support and ensure validation of controls
  • Take responsibility for ineffective controls to understand root course and evaluate for next step and solutioning
  • Develop it further with a key focus on effectiveness and automated solutions

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Compliance internal controls framework (from a Compliance Operations perspective) and drive further improvements with a key focus on effectiveness and automated solutions
  • Support our journey towards more effective use of compliance data, including for the purpose of a more dynamic risk view and real-time monitoring
  • Manage and further develop relationships with partner functions such as Group Risk & Controls, IT and the Finance community
  • Monitor regulatory guidance and make relevant changes to the compliance risk and control landscape.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders, build and maintain long-term working relationships
  • Become a trusted partner for the subject matter expert teams
  • Use analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, to identify improvement opportunities and consider technology as an underlying element to everything we do
  • Develop an understanding of software and tools available in the market and pre-select solutions that are best suited for our needs

We are looking for

The ideal candidate will have +8 years of project management experience within the compliance, risk and controls, and/or auditing space.

You also have experience with managing international, cross functional projects.

You have a collaborative work style which fosters cooperation, teamwork, and stakeholder management.

Furthermore you:

  • Have strong time management to manage multiple priorities
  • Have the ability to exercise discretion and good judgement, with an ability to understand the effect of decisions overall in the company
  • Strong capacity to coordinate and translate between various stakeholders with the objective of timely and successful project delivery
  • High integrity and personal ethics, professional in communication, ability to handle confidential information and sensitive situations
  • Are open minded and like to work in a diverse, international environment
