For our team in Global Safety & Resilience (‘S&R’ - which covers Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, Security & Business Resilience) we are looking for a Senior QHSE Manager to work with our Key Client teams. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the development and execution of QHSE strategies and partnership programs tailored for our Key Clients.

In this role you will be part of the diverse HSE & S&R Transformation Function in S&R, consisting of very dedicated and passionate colleagues based in our Headquarters in Copenhagen, and you will report directly to the Global Head of Health, Safety, Environment & S&R Transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partnership: Partner with Maersk Key Client Account teams in meeting QHSE requirements and expectations for Global Key Clients. Develop, maintain, and review processes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Process Management: Ensure and enable robust QHSE processes and operating systems are implemented across the partnership programs, considering regional and local compliance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with S&R, Key Client Account teams, MPL (Maersk Project Logistics), Procurement, CX, and other departments to provide tools and guidance that mitigate risks and promote a safe, secure, and sustainable supply chain.
  • Coaching and training: Provide high-quality coaching and training to Global Key Client teams to build the understanding of QHSE responsibilities and the impact on control effectiveness and behaviours, embedding QHSE into ways of working. Work collaboratively to create an environment where QHSE risks are identified early, responding in advance of an event to prevent adverse outcomes. Additionally, provide QHSE content for inclusion in leadership communications, town halls, and leadership events.
  • Improvement/Assurance: Spearhead and participate in Global QHSE Improvement projects as designated by the Global Head of HSE or Client Program Director, and support or participate in Regional/Area QHSE Improvement projects. Lead and support significant incident response and oversight activities, and develop and execute assurance programs to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures, identifying and assisting in implementing improvements.

Accountabilities:

  • Establish standardized processes and approaches with Key Client Account teams.
  • Develop and further implement an agreed-upon QHSE roadmap with clients.
  • Provide QHSE training for Key Client Account teams.
  • Ensure incident reporting and follow-up investigations for key clients’ operations.
  • Conduct and facilitate Gemba walks and risk assessments.
  • Develop and implement an QHSE onboarding and audit program for third-party contractors.
  • Integrate key clients’ e-learning into Maersk's Learning Management System (LMS).

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in QHSE management within a global supply chain or logistics environment, preferably in landside logistics.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to engage and influence teams globally.
  • Strong knowledge of QHSE regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in developing and implementing HSSE strategies and processes.
  • Collaborative and able to connect across a wide variety of stakeholders across different geographies.
