Souls new bistro”Next Generation” - is stepping up the game with a brand new concept and a high end VEGAN menu.
As Head Chef of Next Generation, we need you to ensure high food quality and excellence with focus on food presentation, menu development and thus achieving objectives set for the restaurant. We also look for the modern leader to train and develop junior staff therefore a minimum of 2 years leadership is required.
You have people skills and can direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities in good manners, and you will lead towards a good working environment at all times.

Responsibilities
- Leading, motivating and developing kitchen team
- Ensure standards, policies and procedure are followed
- Daily running of kitchen service including prep with a high level of services
- Constructing menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings with a seasonal mindset
- Controlling and directing the food preparation process and any other relative activities
- Food quality and presentation - Approving and “polishing” dishes before they reach the customer
Requirements
- You are good with details as well as “the big picture” can plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages
- Arrange for repairs when necessary
- Remedy any problems or defects
- Be fully in charge of hiring, managing and training kitchen staff
- Oversee the work of subordinates
- Estimate staff’s workload and compensations
- Maintain records of payroll and attendance
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers
Leadership requirements
- Proven experience as head chef
- Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management
- Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills
- Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
- Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
- Credentials in health and safety training
- Degree in Culinary science or related certificate
