Sealand is on a strategic journey towards becoming the integrator of container shipping in the European short sea industry. Becoming an integrator means offering true end to end service options for our clients supply chain needs.
Our ambition is significant growth in both volume and product offerings over the coming years as we expand our product offerings to both existing and future customers.
To deliver that growth we are seeking a seasoned Logistics professional to lead the strategic execution in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, our sales organization
You will have a unique opportunity to work in a truly global business as we transition from a pure ocean business towards our integrator vision. We offer the opportunity to be part of shaping a business transformation, build organizational capabilities, develop and execute strategy and co-own the Logistics and Services PnL.
Your role scope will include driving cross-sales of logistic products in relation to ocean transport and supporting the sales organization building account plans and product development.
The role reports to the Sealand CCO and will be part of a lean HQ commercial Logistics and Services matrix organization.
· Set the strategy and direction for Logistics development and hold the mandate to decide where and how to grow.
· Engage the Sealand Maersk Eur & Med Leadership team to ensure we balance focus on ocean products with logistics products.
· Coordination with stakeholders within the Maersk Group to stay on top of new Logistics initiatives, products and services.
· Lead an logistics team of subject matter experts within Finance, Operations and Commercial.
· Ensure focus across the organization on developing Logistics & Services solutions and support frontline colleagues in expanding E-2-E business with the Eur/Med customer base.
· Gather market intel and understanding of local customer behaviours to tailor our logistics products to best serve customer needs.
· Lift logistics knowledge and tactics into the Trade Strategy.
· Co-creation of value propositions and local differentiators within Logistics & Services together with the HQ commercial team and frontline stakeholders.
· Keep abreast with market trends and best practices within Logistics & Services. Make use of competition data and performance reliability to underline our competitive advantage.
· Ensure that the frontline community is engaged, trained and aligned around logistics through regular communication.
· Participate in customer meetings to promote logistics at senior level with frontline and HQ stakeholders.
· Ad-hoc support to projects around specialized requirements that tie into logistics product development.
You have ideally been working in the European logistics/supply chain industry for a number of years where you have a proven track record of setting and executing strategy, managing stakeholders up and down the value chain and have had organisational people and PnL responsibility.
You have in depth knowledge of 3PL products and experience with consultative sales.
