About the Role:
We’re looking for a skilled Senior Crisis Manager to strengthen our organization’s crisis readiness. In this role, you’ll enhance crisis management processes, lead training for Crisis Management Teams with a focus on Regional Teams, and support Business Resilience Managers and Crisis Management Chairpersons to handle crises effectively.
Collaborating with the Head of Crisis Management, you’ll engage senior leadership to drive commitment to crisis preparedness. You’ll also ensure backup systems are in place to manage multiple crises simultaneously and build resilience for high-priority Level 1 or Level 0 crises. This is your chance to shape our crisis strategy and make a lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of our regional crisis management plans and protocols
- Support the Head of Crisis Management in the coordination of our corporate crisis management team, ensuring efficient communication and execution of actions
- Monitor potential risk indicators and input into our crisis foresight procedure identifying emerging threats
- Collaborate with various internal teams, including operations, fleet, communications, legal and human resources, assisting in the creation of contingency plans to ensure unified responses during crises
- Hold post-crisis reviews, gathering feedback and lessons learned for continuous improvement
- Help prepare concise communications and updates for senior leaders during a crisis
- Conduct research on best practices in crisis management and provide insights to improve existing strategies and new technologies
- Organise crisis simulations, drills, and training sessions for our regional teams to maintain organisational readiness
- Maintain up-to-date crisis management documentation for the Regions, including contact lists, procedures, and action plans
- Track the progress of crisis response activities in the Regions and report updates to the Head of Crisis Management
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Disaster Response, Business Continuity, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Ideally 4-6 years of experience in crisis management, risk management, business continuity, or a related role in a corporate environment
- Proven experience supporting crisis or emergency response efforts, including coordination and communication and familiarity with crisis command structures
- Ability to confidently work collaboratively across departments and with senior leadership
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks during high-stress situations
- Experience with running crisis simulations, drills, and training
- Strong organisational and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of risk management and business continuity planning. Familiarity with crisis communication strategies
- Certification in crisis management or business continuity is desirable but not required
