Together, we lead and leave a positive impact on societies, companies and people around the world.</p><p><strong>You will join our Geo Structures department</strong></p><p>As our new Head of department Geo Structures you will be part of a team of geotechnical engineers located in Ørestaden. The team ally experience and cutting-edge analysis methods to deliver effective and sustainable solutions and services for the whole of the Ramboll Business. This team delivers on a wide range of projects for example foundations for high rise towers, sub-structure design for major bridges, soil-structure analysis for new tunnel schemes, and ground treatment and infrastructure for new wastewater treatment plants. We have a communicative and enthusiastic team who will benefit from clear guidance to meet our business objectives. We are a new department with a focus on geotechnical design and analysis and our knowledge is being applied to Ramboll’s Geoscience approach to energy transition projects and the integration of sustainability principles into all our work.</p><p><strong>Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide clear line of sight for the ambitions and direction of this new department to meet the overall objectives of business and staff growth</li><li>Develop all department members through goal setting and achievement in line with the business plan for Geo Structures and Ramboll</li><li>Be part of the Divisional management team</li><li>Collaborate with the other department leaders in DK Geoscience to support Ramboll’s core business</li><li>Have a plan to continue to grow the department in terms of staff numbers, skills, diversity, and new project opportunities in line with business plan objectives</li><li>Provide leadership for the whole department to deliver on the core mission statement of being a centre of excellence for geotechnical design and analysis</li><li>Develop our overseas based support engineer facility in terms of staff numbers, skills, and ensure a suitable pipeline is in place when combined with other Geoscience leaders</li><li>To instil commercial excellence on all projects through example and mentorship</li><li>To represent the interests of department staff, especially when implementing change through business processes, facilities etc.</li></ul><p><strong>Your starting point for constant growth</strong></p><p>From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is:</p><ul><li>Have experience in setting appropriate Technical Excellence standards for the department and ensuring these are met in project delivery</li><li>Act as the final point of decision in terms of project technical challenges in consultation with other senior staff in Geostructures and project leaders</li><li>Have a demonstrable presence in the DK or international ground engineering industry through institution involvement, conference/university participation, or regular media engagement</li><li>Provide insight and leadership to address all the various parts of the Ramboll strategy</li></ul><p>Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:</p><ul><li>Ability to set a clear and implement a clearand ambitious strategy for the department</li><li>Strong desire to develop people’s skills and career objectives</li><li>Empathetic people skills to manage a diverse team in terms of gender, education, and ethnicity</li><li>Clear verbal and written communicator to staff, colleagues, and clients</li><li>Flexible and collaborative mindset with a willingness to encourage and act on ideas from the whole team</li><li>Collaborative approach to working with other departments to deliver Ramboll’s business strategy.</li></ul><p><strong>How to apply</strong></p><p>Apply online.
