We are on the lookout for a Head of eCommerce to spearhead our digital commerce initiatives and shape the future of LIEWOOD´s online presence.

This role offers the opportunity to drive significant and profitable growth through strategic management and robust commercial oversight, focusing on enhancing user experiences and optimizing LIEWOOD’s D2C channel.

Aiming to expand our strong European base into a significant global presence, LIEWOOD is strategically enhancing its market and customer engagement through its eCommerce channel. We plan to double our digital presence in the coming years, a goal that requires innovative growth strategies and strong leadership to successfully implement and guide these initiatives.

The Head of E-Commerce at LIEWOOD will lead the direct management and optimization of the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) channel. This role includes overseeing the day-to-day maintenance of the site to ensure an optimal user experience and managing the Shopify platform to maintain clear brand messaging and strategic eCommerce buying.

You will be responsible for managing seamless product launches and taking ownership of planning, performance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, supported by data from our sales controller. Additionally, the Head of eCommerce will work closely with the marketing team to create digital marketing strategies that enhance site traffic and sales, improving customer acquisition across various channels including PPC, SEO, Display, Shopping, Paid Social, and Affiliates. Furthermore, you will oversee eCommerce buying and planning processes, collaborating closely with the merchandising and category management team to optimize sales through strategic inventory planning and product assortment.

Your profile

The ideal candidate for the Head of eCommerce at LIEWOOD will embody a blend of strategic vision and practical execution abilities. You should boast a deep and nuanced understanding of eCommerce platforms like Shopify Plus, and a track record of leveraging digital tools to enhance business outcomes. Your track record should clearly demonstrate a history of leveraging the latest digital tools and analytics to craft strategies that directly enhance business outcomes, delivering measurable success and a substantial return on investment. Thorough knowledge of effective UX and web design is vital, as is the ability to optimize the customer journey from start to finish.

We expect you to bring a creative yet methodical approach to every aspect of the online shopping experience, ensuring that each digital touchpoint is intuitive, engaging, and aligned with LIEWOOD’s brand identity.

You should be capable of leading and guiding teams with a collaborative spirit and possess the communication skills necessary to drive collective efforts towards shared goals and company growth. Your key areas of responsibility will be:

  • Manage and optimize LIEWOODs D2C channel, including site maintenance, strategic eCommerce buying, and ensuring a seamless user experience on the Shopify platform.
  • Cooperation with internal and external stakeholders on the development and implementation of digital marketing initiatives.
  • Manage the D2C P&L, focusing on profitability and meeting growth targets.
  • Lead product launches and optimize product assortment and inventory.
  • Collaborate with teams and drive innovation in customer experience and retention strategies.

You have:

  • Passion for D2C/eCommerce & put customer in forefront
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a similar role using Shopify Plus
  • Excellent understanding of UX, web design and customer journey
  • Ability and move seamlessly between strategic forward-thinking and tactical implementation
  • Strong leadership & communication skills – you have the awareness necessary to work cross-functionally & lead teams effectively, to drive results through collaboration, earning the trust and admiration of your peers.
  • Understanding and experience with SEO
  • Proven experience collating, transforming, and analysing data
  • Intermediate to advance skills with Google Analytics
  • Intermediate to advance Excel and Power Point skills

  • Proactive and driven to ensure the online business performance is maximise
  • Confidence in traffic analysis, reporting tools and optimisation
  • An experienced leader with acollaborative approach

You will be working from our beautiful LIEWOOD office in Østerbro, Copenhagen, and refer directly to the CCO.
