Set and manage the strategic agenda for the Record to Report process
As Global Process Owner Record to Report (R2R), you will set and manage the strategic agenda for the R2R process and align with key stakeholders on the direction of the process. You will agree on design principles and performance metrics, design the standard process (aligning with Finance, Commercial, IT, and the ERP programme), perform fit-gap analysis and develop and implement a programme to drive the organisation to standardised processes. As GPO you will also take responsibility for the documentation of the process itself and of any changes and improvements to the process. Given the importance of the end-to-end (E2E) process performance, this role is critical to the success of Global Business Services.

In this role, you will assess and support the choice of technology associated with the E2E process, and, together the other GPOs, define the tools required for process mapping and process mining.

Adding to this you will:

  • Play a key part in the establishment of a Process Excellence organisation and establish a community of practice to connect R2R process experts in the clusters, IT and other global functions
  • Advocate individual behaviour changes, both inside and outside GBS, in a way that facilitates the desired outcomes
  • Bring and identify best practices and work with the continuous improvement and Process Excellence team to implement improvements within the end-to-end R2R process
  • Create, align and execute visions, strategies and best-practice policies across the R2R area while proactively pursuing process efficiency opportunities

Ongoing success is dependent on the implementation of highly automated and efficient processes that deliver cost savings while managing accounts, systems and critical spending categories and ensuring higher control over the process.

In this role, you should expect to travel regularly to support our global business (in alignment with governments’ and company Covid-19 related travel policy).

Senior finance professional with strong leadership skills
To succeed in this role, we expect that you can demonstrate a deep understanding of the R2R process and have delivered best-in-class R2R process excellence programmes. You show a combination of strong operational finance understanding, transformation experience and interpersonal and leadership skills.

We hope to see that you have and can demonstrate:

  • Minimum 10 years of solid experience working within Finance, and R2R
  • Strong people management and development skills
  • High degree of process and functional knowledge
  • Experience from retail, fashion or FMCG industry (preferred)
  • Strong transformation experience from multiple global organisations
  • Solid understanding of technology and tools related to the process
  • Fluent in English – verbally and written

Your new team
The position forms part of the Global Business Services (GBS) organisation, reporting to the SVP GBS. You will work closely with the Finance and IT functions and other key stakeholders in the business globally. GBS will manage delivery of transactional as well as knowledge-centric services through Service Delivery Centres (SDC) and dedicated Centres of Excellence (CoE) with the initial headcount of 250+ FTEs globally. The GBS team is transforming these services, underpinned by process excellence and automation.

In this role, you will also collaborate closely with IT, Business Owners and various senior stakeholders across the organisation and you will be supported by Process Excellence Project Managers and resources.
