Deliver cutting edge financial business partnering solutions
To ensure maximum impact of our annual +3bnDKK marketing investments, we are looking for a finance professional who can step-change our ways of working and upscale our financial capabilities within the Marketing arena. You will drive a very capable team to deliver cutting edge financial business partnering solutions, and we need your expertise to drive the agenda towards your colleagues in Marketing. By joining our Global Business Finance department, you will support and enable our Marketing organisation by being the ‘go-to’ finance leader. Some of your critical tasks include:

  • Clearly integrate marketing in the financial planning processes
  • Drive performance management, including reporting, forecasting, budgeting, long term financial planning
  • Build scenarios for marketing investments to ensure maximum flexibility for the CMO
  • Drive clarity on global marketing costs and improve insights into Return on Advertising Spend (ROAS) and collaborate with Marketing to develop solid planning processes around budget and forecasting
  • Supporting Brand identity/Retail Marketing: Business cases/investment Appraisal development of brand-related assets and store concept
  • Developing the Global Business Unit (GBU) collaborative framework and integrate them into the end-to-end (E2E) process
  • Strategic pricing responsibilities, price point analyses and recommendations as well as scenario analyses on new product lines

You are expected to take strong personal ownership and leadership in driving best practice and strategic cost management in the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) area to improve performance. You will also be responsible for the definition and follow-up on operational KPIs.

Your new team
You will be part of Global Business Finance, a large multi-cultural finance department of more than 100 professionals. The purpose of this function is to ensure strong financial management of the Global functions and strengthened commercial finance support of CMO, CDO, CPO, CIO, CTO, CHRO, and CSO, including Manufacturing in Thailand. You will report to the Vice President of Global Functions Finance consisting of around 15 talented colleagues. The Marketing & GBU Finance team will report to you, and currently consists of 4 team members serving the CMO as true Finance Business Partners. Our whole team works closely together on parallel tasks, we help each other when needed and we enjoy an informal, caring and humorous environment with respect for each other as individuals.

Strong business acumen and functional insights into marketing
Succeeding in this role requires a combination of strong business acumen, business finance, and functional insights into marketing, as well as partnering and communication skills to drive change within the CMO area. Your energy level is high and you are eager to drive a global agenda with your “One Global Team” mindset. Adding to that, you understand strategic development, functional priorities and you have and can demonstrate:

  • Experience from similar role(s) and responsibility in a global/international organisation - ideally with both local and global positions with direct responsibility managing global marketing budgets
  • Strong leadership skills and experience developing high performing teams
  • Experience from branded consumer goods, retail, fashion and/or FMCG industry - ideally with experience from owning and driving the P/L of a Global Business Unit
  • A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or similar
  • Fluent in English and with strong and effective communication skills – both verbally and written
  • Strong business acumen and proven track record
