The team of 4 people working close with the business as well the other teams within Supply Chain Applicatoins, to ensure the delivery of solutions that covers from “concept to shelf”. The development of the application layer is carried out by selected vendors.
Job Description:
As a Team Manager, you will be given the opportunity to display your people leadership and technical skills by leading a team of highly talented specialists while working directly with both business peers as well as solution owners across Finance, Design, Production, Retail and Supply Chain to define and build the planning application portfolio that support the business and creates transparency throughout the value chain.
Your team will act as the subject matter experts for application design, feature optimization, availability, scalability, user experience, visualization and data integrity – as well acts as innovation contributors in collaboration with the regional business executives.
You and your team will drive the effective transition of requirements to delivery and development resources, ensuring a clear and complete understanding of the requirements for a successful delivery.
Furthermore your team will participate and sometimes lead quality management reviews including designs, prototypes and other stages of projects to ensure requirements are fulfilled.
As the Team Manager you will:
- Run monthly Engagement Meetings with Regional Business Stakeholders to collect requirements and deliverables
- Facilitate and drive Quarterly Global Application Advisory Boards with Business and IT Stakeholders
- Ensure development Application Roadmaps based on requirements from the Business
- Manage designs and develops conceptual and technical designs, and lead hands-on implementation of solutions
- Manage the rollout, maintenance, and ongoing administration/development of the Supply planning applications
- Responsible for program/project delivery including managing program inter-dependencies, scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, communications, procurement, and resources
- Ensure the Support Model are anchored with IT Operations, 1st level external service partner and Application Vendor
- Manage budget and project approvals (budget, business case & benefit realization)
- Engage with and manage external vendors as part of application development
- Ensure true team spirit and people development, employee satisfaction through close sparring
- Support resources within the IT Team, develop annual objectives, conduct performance review processes and ensure team cohesion
- Ensure smooth interfaces between your domain and other areas within Supply Chain
- Ensure people, processes and systems are in place where appropriate to provide high availability of key applications such as TXT, Office 365 and other required applications (VPNs, BI tools, etc)
- Work with all central functions (Finance, IT, Supply Chain, Product Development, Merchandising, and Planning) as well as regional application users to understand business needs and develop technology solutions that deliver value
- Work to simplify and automate IT solutions, enabling the user base to be highly productive
This role will require frequent and intense collaboration with both internal and external partners, as deliverables are contingent on the inputs and resource demands of those partners. It will require collaboration with most functions within the organization, as is the nature of omnichannel consumer experience demands.
Main Internal Collaboration Partners: Merchandise & Planning, Supply Chain, Product Development, IT & Application Support, Business Intelligence, PMO, Business Development, Finance and Project Management, & Controlling.
Professional qualifications:
The candidate has a Managerial background as a people Manager for specialists ideally across borders and time zones.
The candidate holds a solid experience within, the Merchandise and Planning domain - preferably in combination with experience with delivery of IT solutions. You know how to translate business requirements into technical aspects and requirements and ensure the development and roll out.
The ideal candidate has strong experience making engagement towards the business and top stakeholders on SVP level. Combined with having strong presentations skills, being a strong communicator and able to manage stakeholders in general.
Furthermore, you have corresponding experience from large scale international organizations, which has provided you with some of the following skills:
- Broad experience from similar position – working with Supply Chain Planning systems like TXT, Logility and/or other relevant applications
- Insigts to Retail Merchandising/Category/Buying processes
- Knowledge of Consumer Packaged Goods processes
- Data-oriented (from Shopper Insights)
- Strong business acumen with technical background
- Strong collaboration and teamwork approach
- Ability to ensure high quality deliveries through vendors or partners
- Leadership toolbox and experience in using it within a team of specialists
- Experience with functional requirements, design, output, test plans, etc.
- Potentially experience with IT from the business side
- A fluent level of English – verbal as well as in writing
