Manufacturing & Global Procurement Blades Blade Launch & Execution Center BLEC HSE
Vestas Blades Launch & Execution Centre (BLEC) is a function within the Blades organisation in the Manufacturing organisation. The function is responsible for delivery of our manufacturing production design, including special projects, development of processes and tooling of the blades in Vestas.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) in BLEC covers both projects and prototype production. We monitor and support on HSE for all activities related to our prototype production and drives and/or monitors the Vestas safety behavior programs. We coach and challenge managers and employees to set and live safety as first priority. We review instructions, methods and equipment related to new blade types and play a vital role in verifying that processes and work methods are safe and ready to be transferred into our production factories.

Responsibilities
As Specialist in BLEC HSE you are the technical lead in Health, Safety and Environment activities regarding technology projects, blade factories. More specifically, your main areas of responsibility are to:

  • Manage the implementation of agreed HSE business plan and tasks according to the agreed operational agreement implementation projects HSE standards, processes and tools
  • Ensure local implementation of Global HSE standards, processes, programs and tools based on best practice and customer/business needs and drive the implementation, including development of training and communication materials
  • Contribute to Identification, development and set up of local HSE objectives and leading/lagging indicators for the specific HSE standards, processes and tools
  • Monitor status of compliance with the specific HSE standards, processes and tools in the relevant area and continuously identify needed actions for improvement in order to reach the targets at local level for HSE related parts of the business plan
  • Ensure required HSE reporting and reporting to authorities on environment and Safety. Prepare, conduct and maintain environmental permits. Lead and monitor activities related to chemical management (Epoxy), environment permits and reporting
  • Facilitate, participating, being local point of contact for audits and perform assessments
  • Secure procedures for Identification and management of risks and aspects. Also securing procedures for waste and chemical management and to ensure their compliance (following legal, local and global requirements)

Furthermore, you are to ensure knowledge sharing and lessons learned within Vestas in relation to HSE by producing HSE alerts and other relevant communications.

Qualifications
To succeed with above responsibilities, you are probably having the following qualifications:

  • +5 years’ experience within the field of HSE
  • Experience within chemical and environmental leadership is preferred but not required
  • Solid experience with stakeholder management and Management Systems
  • A technical university degree, for example within chemicals or similar relevant to the position
  • Fluent in written and spoken Danish and English.

Additional information
The primary work location is Lem St. (6940), Denmark, and requires approximately 30% travel of day trips.
