Then maybe you are one of the two "Launch Excellence Manager - Rybelsus" we need for one of the most exciting launches in the history of the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes. Rybelsus (oral Semaglutide) is the first oral GLP-1 Receptor agonist, which has the potential to revolutionize the treatment of people with Type 2 Diabetes.

About the department:
Novo Nordisk Region Europe is the largest region in International Operations covering 36 countries and employing more than 3000 people. We are for the first time in a decade growing market share and have ambition for more.

You will be part of Commercial Operations in Region Europe in the team that focuses on the GLP-1 franchise in Region Europe. We are responsible for the development of our commercial strategies and facilitating implementation in Europe for both in-line and pipeline brands. We work to define the strategic potential of pipeline products, developing and executing comprehensive pre-launch and launch plans to secure our success, improve patient outcomes and maintain and grow our product portfolio.

We work in a well-functioning cross-functional business unit spanning market access, medical, marketing, commercial effectiveness, finance and public affairs. In this team you will be a key contributor to the launch of our newest and extremely exciting addition to our GLP-1 franchise.

The Position:
As a Launch Excellence manager for Rybelsus you will be part of the cross functional launch team in Region Europe and play a critical role in the launch success of Rybelsus in the early launch countries across Europe. You will be responsible for defining, supervising and implementing the launch learnings for European markets. You will at the same time be deeply involved in several of the national launches of Rybelsus across Region Europe and will also contribute in cross-country projects together with the Commercial Lead Rybelsus. You will be the key contact for launch learnings and excellence for the affiliates, coaching the teams preparing the launches and take ownership of critical parts of the launch preparation yourself.

You will be joining the first launches in the US or Canada in order to experience the local launches and soak up all the learnings associated with this launch which is of fundamental importance for Novo Nordisk. You will be travelling extensively throughout the first two years depending on the launch countries and will rotate between 6-8 locations across Europe throughout the 2-year period. With the extensive experience and network you gain during these two years you will then be perfectly equipped for an extremely exciting career at Novo Nordisk. You will be hired out of one of our European countries.

A strong business understanding, being able to generate new ideas, providing thorough analysis, formulate and present recommendations is critical to be successful in this role. The exact scope and projects of the role will be shaped together with you based on your profile, business needs and your perferences.

Qualifications

As a person you are ambitious, proactive and have a strong ability to interact with people at all levels in the organisation. You hold an academic degree in Life sciences or a business relevant post- graduate education (i.e. MBA) with 7-10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical market in Europe.

You have a proven track record of leading people and projects successfully. Experience in Primary care launches is considered a plus. You have a hands-on personality with deep operational knowledge from one or more European local health systems. You bring extremely strong cross functional management skills in connection to product launches and have proven that you can impact teams and projects right from the start across functions and different cultures. You are a connector who can easily build strong working relationships and facilitate exchange/collaboration. We are looking for 2 candidates, so ideally you have experience in at least one of the following areas:

  • Commercial Excellence and implementation of Marketing strategies into Sales Force structures and systems
  • Experience in driving successful Multichannel campaigns in coordination with Sales Force activities for a general practitioner (GP) audience
  • Strong experience in sales training for GP audiences
