Do you have a passion for providing patients access to optimal treatment as well as strong capabilities in building internal and external relationships? Then you could be the Director of Health System Engagement that we are looking for to join our Region North West Europe External Affairs team.
The Department
The job is located in Region North West Europe based in Copenhagen, Denmark. As Director of Health System Engagement, you will report to the VP, External Affairs (EA) and be a part of the EA management team. You will lead the Health System Engagement team consisting of yourself and five direct reports.
The Position
As Director of Health System Engagement, you will orchestrate the regional planning, execution and communication of the value of the Novo Nordisk brands / therapy areas (including market access planning for pipeline products) to stakeholders such as patient organisation, politicians, policy makers, payers, HTA bodies and Key Opinion Leaders. You will be responsible for building strategic external relationships to support public affairs goals and facilitate continuous development of relevant stakeholder engagement platforms. Further, you will set the direction, develop skill set, coach and guide your team to fulfil project goals and apply corrective actions when necessary.
Overall, your main tasks will be to:
- Drive the development of innovative and appropriate tools and training in order to communicate clinical, health economic, real-world and patient-reported evidence
- Ensure comprehensive stakeholder engagement plans and HTA submission strategies
- Drive a supportive environment for Novo Nordisk by driving excellence in Health System Engagement, public affairs and patient relations, operations and processes
- Lead regional Payer Engagement/Public Affairs cooperation with Global Public Affairs and Global Market Access in close alignment with Medical Affairs on cross-functional initiatives
- Drive the development and effective use of Public Affairs/Health System engagement tactics to facilitate external stakeholder dialogue and collaboration with political/health system agendas
- Increase affiliate capabilities by building public affairs/Health System engagement/HTA knowledge and skills
Qualifications
You have a master’s degree or higher in health sciences, epidemiology, economics or other relevant degrees. You have at least 7-9 years of experience within a pharmaceutical/biotech company or as a consultant within the life sciences industry and you must document at least 5 years’ experience within public affairs and/or market access. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership and project management skills and will be organised and motivated to deliver on projects, alone or with the team, all the way from A to Z to improve patients’ access to Novo Nordisk’s innovative therapies.
As a person you are a strong communicator with a high level of energy and ability to handle many different priorities at the same time. You can create strong internal and external relationships and drive cross-functional collaboration and team-spirit. You are fluent in both written and spoken English at a professional level and must be proficient with MS Office.
