Business Innovation Lead

Are you our new Business Innovation Lead that can drive the innovation journey for Novo Nordisk Denmark with an ambition to change diabetes and stop the increase of obesity in Denmark?

Almost 300,000 people live with diabetes in Denmark today and the number is expected to grow to more than 400,000 over the coming 10 years. In Novo Nordisk Denmark we have set ourselves the ambition to help achieve a target of 80% of all people with diabetes being in good control with their disease by 2025 and stagnate the prevalence of obesity.

With ambition comes commitment. Over the next five years we will bring innovation to the market. Launching new products and providing digital tools which make it effortless for people with diabetes and obesity to manage their condition is one among many things we wish to achieve. This is why we have established a new Business Innovation Lead position to identify and create the innovation projects needed to change status quo, many of them to be driven in partnerships with other companies, public stakeholders, etc.

The position

As our Business Innovation Lead you will be part of the Commercial Excellence team located in Ørestad, Copenhagen. You will be responsible for:

  • challenging our current portfolio of innovation projects to ensure a clear link and prioritisation towards the overall patient ambitions of the affiliate
  • scoping and driving digital health pilots in close collaboration with stakeholders from other business units, our global project teams and external partners. This includes a high degree of cross-functional project management and being the commercial anchor for development of new health solutions.
  • bring new ideas and projects to our portfolio to support our journey to make a difference to people living with diabetes and obesity in close collaboration with the rest of the organization
  • you will be the go-to-person when it comes to piloting new approaches or initiating new projects for development of digital solutions
  • facilitate innovation workshops at strategic as well as operational levels

Qualifications

  • a master’s degree within Business, Innovation, Humanities, or related fields
  • entrepreneurial to an extent where you have started your own business or considered to do so a strong desire to make a difference for people living with diabetes and obesity
  • you are known for your passion and drive when exploring new territory and you feel comfortable breaking new ground
  • can do attitude thriving in high complexity environments
  • very comfortable operating independently in an ambiguous environment where multiple stakeholders need to come together to drive progress
  • strong stakeholder management capabilities

About the Department

You will report to the Commercial Excellence Director, who is part of the Affiliate Management Team and you will play a key role in the establishment of this new unit. It is our ambition that we will turn every stone to secure better outcomes and simpler lives for people living with diabetes and obesity. Our vision is to advance best-in-class commercial model, capabilities and mindset by leveraging innovation through partnerships developing solutions that impact patients’ lives.
