Head of Consolidation & External Reporting
Are you passionate about working with financial controlling, consolidation and external reporting in a large international listed company? Do you have a strong sense for details as well as an overview of the bigger perspective and finally do you have practical experience with IFRS from accounting firms or similar? Then you might be our new Head of Consolidation & External Reporting team.
The area
You will become a part of Group Finance Management with reference to the Senior Vice President of Finance. Furthermore, you will engage a lot with colleagues from the global finance organization.
You will be people manager for a team consisting of seven very competent specialists. Your team’s area of responsibility is controlling of reporting from our subsidiaries, monthly consolidation of the financial statements, IFRS guidance and compliance. The team is are also responsible for the half-year and full-year financial statements for the Stock Exchange, as well as supporting Investor Relations with relevant financial information.
The job
In the role as Head of Consolidation & External Reporting the most important responsibility is to ensure timely and correct consolidated reporting to the Executive Management, board of directors and shareholders.
You will be in very close collaboration with a broad range of stakeholders e.g. Investor Relations, other teams in Group Finance, Executive Management, our M&A team and local financial managers in the subsidiaries.
Other areas of responsibility:
- Monthly financial controlling of reporting from our affiliates
- Ad hoc reporting and support to the affiliates
- On-going improvement and process optimisation projects
- Ensure that the group financial statements are in compliance with IFRS. Make decisions about implementing change requirements derived from the new IFRS standards
- Prepare the yearly financial statements for the group
- Being the main contact for the group auditors
- Responsible for preparation of material for the audit committee
You will be a part of a business in rapid development and have very good possibilities of setting your footprint in our future business.
Personal qualifications
The perfect candidate should have an accounting or financial education e.g. Cand.merc.aud. or Chartered Accountant and have at least five years of practical experience from a consolidation department combined with experience with IFRS from an accounting firm or a similar position within finance controlling. Furthermore, you bring years of experience with people management and strategic work on a high level.
You foster an open management style with focus on motivating and empowering your employees and a high focus on building trust. You possess a holistic view on problem solving and finding pragmatic solutions. You use a structured approach in your work in order to achieve your goals.
The group makes ongoing acquisition and it will be an advantage to have experience with this including the accounting treatment of acquisitions.
App. 20 travel days per year is to be expected.
You are fluent in English as this is our company language.
