About the Department
You will be organisationally anchored in the Trial Solutions Department, belonging to Research & Development IT and located in Søborg, Denmark. Trial Solutions directly and indirectly supports the externally facing IT solutions enabling global conduct of clinical trials.
We are a dedicated team of 13 people, responsible for the implementation & development, support & maintenance and operation of global R&D IT applications. We are all working together as part of an ambitious team, including also strong collaboration with our sister departments in Denmark and in Bangalore, India. As well as you will have close collaboration with a wide range of internal stake holders spanning across the R&D organisation.
Our end-users and teams are situated all over the globe, and you will be working in a truly international environment with colleagues, collaboration partners and suppliers around the globe from many different cultures.
Our aim is to increase the value generation to our business stakeholders through the development, implementation and support of digital solutions. The central objective is to improve and automate our work processes and explore new ways of creating value.
About the Job
As a Senior System Supporter, you will combine your knowledge of clinical trial conduct with IT system acumen to deliver functional support at multiple levels, thereby acting as a subject matter expert being the bridge between systems, processes and end users.
You will be working as part of a team delivering functional support in close collaboration with system management and vendors, and you will take part in different improvement projects with colleagues from IT and the business, e.g. developers, system managers, end users, process experts and other subject matter experts in a cross-functional setting.
Your responsibilities will amongst others be to support clinical systems managed by R&D IT by providing system functional support, coordinating super user network activities.
Primary systems for this role are externally facing systems such as e.g. EDC and eCOA solutions, but the role is part of a team supporting a multitude of systems and a cross system/process perspective is paramount to success.
The job includes system support (use of system), creation and maintenance of relevant supporting system documentation, e-learning update/creation and training, facilitation of super users and super user network, process changes for clinical systems. You are also expected to be part of vendor collaboration, as well as participate in relevant projects.
Qualifications
We are looking for an ambitious and proactive colleague who can contribute to the team both professionally and personally.
You have a master or bachelor’s degree within computer science, medicine, natural science, nursing, pharmacy, veterinary science, or clinical information management followed by a minimum of 2 years of experience with clinical trial conduct and preferably at least one year within the pharmaceutical industry.
Experience from trial management, knowledge of drug development and GxP guidelines and basic medical terminology is a plus as well as experience with systems in the clinical system architecture (e.g. IWRS, EDC, eCOA, OC).
Furthermore, experience with project planning, flair for identifying improvement potential in processes and systems and demonstrated ability to successfully drive improvement projects. It is essential that you can use your good interpersonal and communication skills to achieve results together with others.
