Topsoe is looking for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner / Head of HR Business Partnering to support the Global Supply business area that comprises more than 1.200 people across countries and continents working with all aspects of the operations value chain such as Manufacturing, Technology, Procurement, and Lean. The role is a replacement as the predecessor has moved on to another challenging role in the organization.

To support your endeavors, you have 3 trusted HR Business Partners located in Denmark; one supporting the managers in the Global Supply group functions at HQ, and two at the manufacturing site in Frederikssund with more than 550 employees. Moreover, you will be an integrated part of the COO leadership team. The Global Supply organization also comprises a manufacturing site in Bayport, Houston, in the US, as well as Topsoe’s Global Technology organization spread across the globe, but with a strong presence across Topsoe’s two offices in New Delhi and Chennai in India.

You will work closely with HR Business Partners at HQ as well as regional HR colleagues, managing the day-to-day HR operations in Topsoe’s main regions: Americas (team located in Houston), APAC (team located in New Delhi and Chennai), and China (team located in Beijing).

As Head of HR Business Partnering, Global Supply, you will report to the Head of Global HR Business Partnering, who heads the global HR Business Partner teams as well as the regional HR teams in Topsoe’s key regions. You will become part of the HR Business Partnering management team comprising three Regional HR Heads and three HR Business Partners.

The workplace is at Topsoe’s headquarters in Lyngby.

Strong contributor to a global business transformation and strategic HR programs


In your role, you will support the Group COO and be an integrated member of the Global Supply leadership team. Most of your activities center on strategic HR in a global function in the center of Topsoe’s transformation organizational changes, strategic workforce planning in connection with ramping-up, and mapping and developing key capabilities – and all will happen in a global perspective and will often be executed through your dedicated team and colleagues in shared services. In all this, you are the professional lighthouse when it comes to securing that the HR agenda supports a distinct growth agenda and is aligned with the business strategy. In your capacity as partner to the COO, some of your tasks will be to:

  • proactively identify where HR can add value and secure execution of the business strategy
  • define and manage change in the transformation together with the senior leadership team and your own team
  • drive reporting on key metrics and people status to the COO and Global Supply leadership team
  • contribute, as project lead, to the development and deployment of critically global HR deliverables such as leadership development, mapping of capabilities, and performance management
  • lead, motivate, and develop your team that is independent and experienced

As an ideal candidate, you are characterized by being responsible, enterprising, and with a desire to engage and involve others through value-creating HR. You can head an ambitious HR strategy in an open and inspiring culture, where you proactively collaborate with multiple stakeholders to establish the best platform for people and organizational development. This entails that you are a strong relationship builder who continuously develops close relations with the business.

Towards people at any level and background, you demonstrate empathy, integrity, and respect combined with being able to identify their needs. At the same time, you can challenge and stay firm on essential issues and are not negatively affected by meeting dynamic and influential stakeholders with strong opinions. While being organized and structured, in situations with high pressure, adversity, and change, you are also proactive and able to balance between strategic issues, making decisions, and executing.

Professionally, we ask for just as much, but we will never prioritize professional skills more than having an engaging and energetic personality with a strong sense of ownership. Professionally, we expect you to have:

  • academic credentials on B.Sc. or M.Sc. level combined with +7-8 years of experience with HR and HR Business Partnering in an international context and from an operations-driven environment
  • experience from having supported members of a senior leadership team and from supporting the business at a strategic as well as an executing level
  • experience from a similar function such as global operations, supply chain, or manufacturing, including experience with blue-collar workers, etc.
  • experience with driving change and transformation processes internationally
  • preferably people management experience or, alternatively, experience in acting at a senior level and having informal team management
  • substantial experience in deploying HR processes and services within leadership development, talent management, performance management, recruitment, coaching, etc.
  • fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • strong skills in MS Office applications, with specific experience in making PP slides and operating in Excel to some degree
