We are seeking an experienced financial professional with a team-player mindset for the position of Head of Accounting. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, with a primary focus on coordination. You will work closely with the business and collaborate across the finance department.
About the Job
You will be joining an international company focused on growth and development. As Head of Accounting, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks within financial management, taxation, accounting, and more. The finance department at the Esbjerg site consists of 23 engaged employees with various nationalities, who are bound together by a strong team spirit and high morale. You will report to the company's Head of Finance and become a part of a strong leadership group of 4 people, all of whom are part of the finance department.
You will be responsible for a streamlined accounting department consisting of 3 employees, where both processes and systems are optimized and aligned. Your role will be to further develop the tools that form the basis for the future accounting. Additionally, you will have professional responsibility for an economics team in Bucharest consisting of approximately 20 employees, who handle invoicing, among other tasks.
Some of your tasks will include:
• Drive accounting processes and provide professional guidance to your team.
• Coordinate across the finance department to ensure efficient and seamless operations.
• Responsible for monthly and annual reporting and collaboration with the auditor.
• Preparation of reporting and IFRS accounting.
• Develop business procedures and accounting procedures in accordance with applicable rules and standards.
• Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory rules.
• Participate in various strategic tasks across the finance department.

About You
We are seeking an accounting professional with experience from a larger company and accustomed to handling complex accounting.
You will make an excellent candidate if you:
- Hold a relevant degree in Economics or Finance combined with an analytical approach.
- Embrace a broad area of responsibility and work in a structured manner with a high degree of detail.
- Are empathic and can easily blend in among different nationalities.
- Can translate and communicate complex issues into simple terms.
- Are comfortable working in an evolving environment.
- Can interact with stakeholders at different levels in an international organization.
- Are an advanced user of Excel and preferably have experience with SAP and Power BI.
- Speak and write English fluently.
