Maersk Container Industry (MCI) is looking for a manager in an international role focusing on sales to Europe as well as global responsibility in driving the growing sales of digital services.
We offer
MCI is looking for a commercially driven Manager to play a key role in our dynamic global team with special focus on taking sales responsibility of a selected group of key accounts in Europe. These customers primarily consist of large-scale international companies being refrigerated container operators of varying size.
As world leaders in reefer (refrigerated shipping container) technology, we are pioneering the latest developments in real-time tracking and energy reduction. Alongside our class-leading reefer and cold chain solutions, you will be driving the global adoption of our innovative Sekstant® reefer connectivity and cargo-monitoring software.
You will be joining a company that is making a positive contribution to meet global environmental and energy reduction challenges. Our record of pioneering innovation and proven solutions are highly regarded in the market – now also with “smart” reefer containers.
Key responsibilities
As Manager, Sales & Digital Services your responsibilities will include:
Key account management
• Selling MCI’s full portfolio of cold-chain products – the Star Cool reefer, controlled atmosphere system, MCI reefer box and our newly launched Sekstant® digital connectivity system.
• Key account management and business relationship development within Europe.
• Winning new customers, retaining/growing existing customers and increasing customer satisfaction.
• Presenting and demonstrating technical cold-chain solutions and their tangible commercial value.
Digital Services
• Act as the commercial subject matter expert in digital services and support each of the account managers in demonstrating the value of the Sekstant solution to customers around the globe.
• Define value drivers, key selling points and commercial activities for digital services to ensure that targets are met.
• Take active part in the ongoing Sekstant services development with MCI’s R&D team by ensuring that market needs match the Sekstant product pipeline.
We are looking for
You have a relevant background, such as a commercial bachelor’s degree and experience from a technical context or an engineering/technical education combined with a commercial career. You have a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience. Knowledge of refrigeration and/or digitalization technology is an advantage. The position includes a great deal of communication in English, so it is vital that you have fluent English skills. German would be an advantage but is not a prerequisite.
You have good negotiation skills and the ability to understand precisely what the customer needs. Building relationships with external and internal contacts comes naturally to you and you get on easily with other people. You hold a strong driving force and find it natural to take ownership for the tasks and projects you are given.
The position will report to MCI’s Director, Global Sales & Service based in Denmark.
