About the role

We are looking for a manager to join our leadership team in Portfolio & Project Management. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of project managers, ensuring their success and alignment with company and project goals. The successful candidate will have a strong background in people management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for project management.

As a Manager, you’ll be

  • Providing management, leadership, and strategic vision for the Portfolio & Project Management team.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of project managers and PM facilitators, providing guidance, coaching, and support to facilitate their professional development and success.
  • Collaborating with different stakeholders both internal and external to ensure efficient cooperation in the project teams.
  • Fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the project management team.
  • Conducting regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for training and development.
  • Serving as a liaison between the project management team and other departments, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and quality standards across all project management activities.
  • Developing project management best practices and execute trainings in the organization.
  • Be a part of the ongoing strategic tracks headed by Portfolio & Project Management.

The miles you’ve walked
In all positions there are some things that are needed, and others a bonus. We believe these qualifications are needed for you to do well in this role:

  • MSc or BSc degree in engineering or other technical education.
  • Experience within Project Management, preferably from an engineering or consultancy company.
  • A leadership background and experience from a similar position.
  • PMP certification, other certification or a MSc or BSc within project management is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in people management, preferably in a project management or engineering environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate, inspire, and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results, manage priorities, and navigate complex organizational dynamics.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is a plus.
